This is the wrong team for Jameer. Jrue is the face of the future at PG. Lou is a top 6th man. Adding Jameer would be seen as a negative given his contract and our lack of need at that position.

Yeah I knew that Jrue is starter and a player with a high celing. Just wasnt sure how Lou was doing. You've cleared that up though.

I'm sure the Sixers could trade Lou for another need and then use Jameer. So it's not like I'm saying Jameer lacks value. I just think he would have more value to a team where there is an existing need- say the Clippers.

Yes, and passing on Amare to keep Hickson was a brilliant move by the Cavs FO, LOL. Hickson is a nice player, but not the kind you build anything around, the Cavs FO vastly over rated him.

Actually from the Cavs I'd look for something more along the lines of Varejao and the Clips pick from this year. You aren't getting him for nothing.

As for Minnesota, trading the pick would be a lot smarter than going the overstock at one position route again like they did with Flynn and Rubio, which turned out to be the most understocked position on the team with Flynn pretty much sucking and Rubio only a pipe dream. You want to keep Love there you better start adding some vets around him.

Yes it was a brilliant move because they still have him. Amare and Lebron both would have left. I think you are overrating Igoudala. He averaged 11 points a game with a massive contract. It is very important to get cheap young and talented players. Turner and Igoudala are almost the same except Igoudala is cheaper. With all the drama about not meeting with the team after their postseason loss its inevitable he's gone. A trade exception would prevent the sixers from having to pay that massive contract he has.

You're ruining your own argument by comparing anyone to Hawes. Very few on these boards think that Hawes is anything more than a back-up & many of us sort of hope he isn't even re-signed.

This is why i think stats are useless. All you have to do is watch Hawes play and know that he isn't the center you would want on your team. You don't need stats for that. Kaman is a better player then Hawes. And he has one one year left on his contract. Enough said.

"Housh"I'm not comparing them because they're white; I'm comparing them because one is the center we have and the other is the center some people want to trade our best player for
,

You say best player as if Iguodala is this budding superstar that is carrying this franchise on his back. Igudala is a nice player (think Kendall Gill, or Doug Christie).

often with the delusion that he will ameliorate our rebounding issues.

Kaman would def help our rebounding issues. The guy hovers right around 10 a game for his career. I don't see the comparison to Hawes at all.

The comparison is for rebounding, not overall players.
Hawes and Speights each grabbed about 16 percent of available rebounds when they were on the floor this past season. You know how much Kaman grabs? 16 percent.

The point still remains that he is our best current player. It makes no sense to trade him for an older player who will only help in keeping us mediocre in the short-term and will not help us in the long-term, 3+ years down the line when our young guys are ready to compete.

Iguodala has to go to take the next steps forward. I don't think the deal ends up being Kaman and Aminu, but that does still give them some short term and long term pieces to add to Jrue and ET. Not sure Aminu ends up developing into a Deng level player, but that is the type of SF they need with Jrue and ET in the backcourt.

Brand>Iggy Brand was our MVP. Brand led this team in points and rebounding. And always had to play out of position because Hawes was horrible and we didn't have a good backup center. All this nonsense about Iggy being out best player is just that. Next year Jrue and Brand will be better then Iggy if he still remains on this team.

Can't wait for Kaman to put on a Sixers jersey and grow out his hair again!

A lineup of Jrue, Evan, Aminu, Young and Kaman...I am SO there!

Artest only works if there is an amnesty clause. Plus the 1st should be going the other way if we're taking him.

I have no interest whatsoever in Artest. I heard the WWE is holding auditions and after that clothesline Artest threw I feel like he has a real shot at making it. Plus thats the only place I know willing to take on his contract.

Im interested to see what Utah does with there 1st rounders....if they go big, someone of Favors/Jefferson has to end up being expendable.
