OT: May 21, 2011
Do any of you believe in this prophecy by Harold Camping? He states that this will 100% happen , calling it Judgement Day and 2% of the world will be raptured. He states that a world wide earthquake will destroy countries. What do you guys think of this ? I honestly think its kind of crazy to pin point a date, but will be anxious to see if anything DOES happen...

Hope nothing does happen..not even the slightest thing, if the simplest flood happened people are gonna go crazy..
Just like I cant wait till December 21st, 2012 to come and past..so nothing can happen and people can go back to their regular lives...until another imaginary date is said by another philosopher..

Mr Camping, who makes programmes in 48 languages, boasts tens of thousands of followers across the globe, with radio stations in South Africa, Russia and Turkey. After 70 years of studying the Bible, he claims to have developed a system that uses mathematics to interpret prophesies hidden in it. He says the world will end on 21 May, because that will be 722,500 days from 1 April AD33, which he believes was the day of the Crucifixion. The figure of 722,500 is important because you get it by multiplying three holy numbers (five, 10 and 17) together twice. "When I found this out, I tell you, it blew my mind," he said
Thats how he decided on the day. Absolutely (Please Use More Appropriate Word)
First of all no one knows the day when Jesus was crucified.
Secondly why does multiplying the holy numbers have any significance? And why would you multiply them together twice? If you multiply them together three times or six times youll get a number too. Why isnt that the date of the apocalypse. This coupled with the fact that hes made this proclamation before and the staement in the bible saying no man will know the date and also just by looking at him you can conclude this is a bunch of nonsense.

Yup...just another stupid "prophecy" like the 2012 one. I'm going to use those numbers to create my own prophecy. 17/10/5=.34 .34*18 (lucky number in Judaism) = 6.12 . 6.12 / 72 (the high weather for tomorrow) = . 085 . .085 * 13 (points OKC has as of right now) = 1.105 . In 1,105 years there will be two planets that the humans are living on. My logic is flawless. Believe it, for it is the truth.

Preach! I wouldn't put much credence on the rapture happening that date. But, take heed and live everyday as responsibly as you can, while recognizing that it could be your last. So make the best of it!
That's my 2 cents anyways.

Re: OT: May 21, 2011
I dont mean to say the world definitely WONT end on May 21st but there is no greater chance of it being on that day then there is of it being tomorrow or 6 months from now or 500 years from now. The world could end on any date. No one will ever know for sure.
