I figured you were a big CP3 fan and honestly so am I. I'm not sure I'd say he's a Top 3 player when healthy but I would say that I would take him before any other PG any day of the week if starting a franchise or even just picking one PG to win a game 7. I would say he's a top 6 talent though along with Dwight, Lebron, Kobe, Wade and Durant and I wouldn't really argue with you if you had him above the latter three players and just behind Dwight and Lebron.
i dont have the time or brain to think of teams' packages but i could imagine all teams trying to get him if he's available. he's just that good.
I agree for the most part. I can imagine a good 25 teams wanting him, but I can't imagine Paul wanting to go to all 25 of those teams which is the main issue as I don't see a team trading for him when they know he won't sign an extension with that team.
and as dwill got traded out of the blue to nj, theres always surprises.
That's true. I could see the Cavs swooping in and offering Jamison, Varejo and say the #2 and #3 picks in the draft for Paul and Okafor which would be a great trade for the Hornets ... however I just can't see Paul agreeing to sign an extension with the Cavs to play alongside a starting 4 of Christian Eyenga, Joey Graham, JJ Hickson and Ryan Hollins ... can you? Would you as a CP3 fan even want to see that travesty? I could see Chris averaging 25ppg and 8apg with that lineup and them still losing 60 games. It would remind me of Barry Sanders with the Lions.
hes the face of that franchise and especially with the nba dealing with the hornets.. and how devastating it would be to lose a charasmatic player like paul for that fanbase, a legit potential star (not just stats but ability to attract ppl) would be needed and bynum just dont fit that.
Hmm, that is actually a very good point. The problem is most teams aren't willing to trade superstars for superstars. You're talking about the Hornets receiving back another team's face of the franchise and I just don't see that happening. Also, in a rebuild, a rookie can easily become the new face of the franchise, so if Paul were somehow dealt to the Cavs and they landed a Kyrie Irving or to the Raps and they landed a Derrick Williams or Kemba Walker, those players could instantly become the new face of the franchise.
and yeah magic trade is good for them cuz dude gasol is a beast. one playoffs aint gonna make me change my mind. hes got all the skills. one of the BEST big and odom. did u have arenas and turk comin? thats even better for em.
Yeah, I agree. Hedo was included in 2 of thre 3 trades and Arenas in one.
