(Reuters) - The Cleveland Indians crushed Kansas City 19-1 on Monday and battered Vin Mazzaro into the record books for pitching the worst ever game for the Royals.
The Indians exploded for 10 runs in the fourth inning against Mazzaro, who was replaced in the fifth inning and charged with 14 runs in 2-1/3 innings.
The Royals' previous record for runs allowed by a pitcher was 11, reached on three occasions.
