the team is still a post up big and another bomber away from competing, but the pieces are starting to accumulate... And hey, there's always next year's lottery.

Is Wes Johnson really better than Leonard? Johnson came in hyped as an excellent shooter and an athlete who could finish on the break. Well he shot sub 40% this season and only averaged 1 FTA per game, which tells me his high lottery athletism was overrated. In addition, he only grabbed 3 boards a game.

This team needs 1) Defense 2) Rebounding 3) Elite outside shooters. I don't think Johnson fits any of those criteria. I believe Leonard has a chance to be an above average SF at 1) and 2).

he's a really good shooter, started out hot the first 2 months, then started hoisting shots w/ hands in his face for some reason. Probably w/ Wall running the show instead of the preposterously bad passing duo of Ridnour/Flynn he could get some open shots. If he's open he's money.

I liked WJ last year. Interesting to consider. Something about the kid says he could have a lot of top side to his game still. Smooth. Next year should be interesting to see what he does. My gut says he could break out.

Bismack could be a Serge Ibaka. To bad Serge went 24th, not 6th

I'd take Biyombo if he's there at #6 and then try and trade Seraphin for a pick high enough to grab Leonard or Singleton. Grab a shooter like Klay Thompson at #18.

PG Wall/Crawford
SG Young/Thompson
SF Lewis/Leonard
PF Booker/Blatche
C McGee/Biyombo

Blatche plays with the 2nd unit to provide some offense. I'd hire Dave Hopla to teach everyone how to shoot.

Nate, that is too many rookies. I'd rather we consolidate the young players and not add 3 more to the team. We need solid vets like Evans, Singleton type players. There is no need for Klay Thompson.

Honestly, Chris Singleton is a better prospect than Leonard IMO.

It's pretty hard for me to imagine that another team would give us a pick high enough to select Leonard or Singleton in return for Seraphin.

Maybe Seraphin + our early second, though?

I'm not too pressed about this. It would have been nice to move up, but 6th isn't much worse than 4th; and that's assuming that the consensus enthusiasm on Enesxceptionalism is sound, as otherwise 6th and 3rd are roughly equivalent.

In an androgynous draft - Ok, make that 'amorphous'.....no.....'ambiguous'....or....maybe another long word starting with an 'A' if none of that makes sense - you could still end up with the best player picking 6th.

Valentine, Leonard and Bismack are the names that entice me as of now who should be hovering in our spot. Maybe Knight if he looks like he can play a bit of 2-guard.

In other news, I guess the chances of the much ballyhooed option of Utah trading both their picks for ours have diminished somewhat.

Since the lottery is over and we have other threads for the draft and for trades, thought it would be a good idea to lock this one. If another mod disagrees, feel free to unlock.

Go Wiz!
