Too bad since there is a good chance that was your last post under that username I figured you would have loved to tell everyone all the versions you have used in the past. You just strike me as a guy who is so defiant he wants to go out with a bang.

Re: NBA Lottery Thread
I'd put Paul and Deron as 1a and 1b, pretty much always have.
I have them both above Rose, but I can see the argument for any of them in any order.
All 3 are top 10 players, top 8 more specifically.

That's all reasonable. Rose is a hard conversation for me. Right now as great a year as he had I felt like he got the award that should have been called...there is no way in hell we can give it to Lebron regardless of how insanely off the charts he was the second half of the season once the Heat figued out how to play together award.
I know that is a lot to put on the MVP trophy...lol...but come on. No way did anyone think playing with Wade he could put up the numbers he did. The thing is...in addition to being the best player in the game...Lebron this year added improved D and he just makes others better around him. he finds guys for open looks. I find Wade doesnt do that enough given his talent. Wade is so incredible at drawing fouls though. He makes contact where it simply doesnt exist. Not saying he gets bad calls...saying he MAKES calls happen with his play.
Anyway, no disrespect to Rose...but if there wasnt the "taking my talents to Miami" grudge...Lebron wins it again this year.
The best argument for Rose of course is the 1 seed. Very impressive and a great year. I want to see what he does next year.
And Westbrook was incredible to watch this year. But watching that offense is sickening. Two guys who stand around watching each other take turns dominating falls more on the PG than the go to offensive wingman. There are so many subtle aspects Westbrook is missing that are easily overlooked because his big three stat cats are so awesome.

Derrick Williams is going to be a monster and his salary wouldn't effect 2012 like Brook's.
You could sign Nene or Tyson Chandler to put next to him or go all out for Marc Gasol.
I might be homering this up big time but, right off the top of the head...
NJ sends:
Brook Lopez
Damion James
27th pick
Johan Petro
Minny sends:
Derrick Williams
Wes Johnson
You know why dont you? Because you are DRAFT LOVING WHORE THAT'S WHY!!!!
And absolute draft addict!!! LOL!!!! Not saying you are totally wrong...just saying...you love your unwrapped gifts under the tree more than the opened ones. If you went on Lets make a deal you would always trade your fantastic package of gifts for what's behind curtain number 3!
That is how you roll!
Lol, you got me there, I will not deny it, but... but...
Although no one is perfect or really even close to it with player projections, I've gotten better, more honest and unbiased and learned from a lot of my mistakes of the past.
I whiffed big time with Evan Turner though, although he looked good towards the end.
But hey, how about Paul George?

How about Wes Johnson, Aminu, etc., who I said would be lame, who I said teams where crazy to take over George?
I think my track record has improves and always been solid with the exception of a few guys I fall in love with every year and turn an ignorant blind eye to all their faults, but usually those are guys who I think are must get late 1st rounders lol.
And I know Deron has said he wants to play with vets who know how to win, but although Brook knows the NBA, he hasn't exactly been a winner and doesn't exactly have playoff experience either.
He might beast next year, but if we don't get Dwight and he doesn't do a complete 180, we could look at it like, man we had an awesome trade chip and now we just have a sort of rich man's center version of Al Jefferson on a tough to trade BYC contract.
I think Brook will be better then that, I just don't know how much.
What I do know, or more properly, what I do think, is he'll never be so good as to where you look back on it like, "Oh man, I can't believe we traded Brook for Derrick Williams or James Harden, he's a top 10 beast and those guys are just David West or Jason Richardson."
Add to this, the #2 pick probably has a lot more trade value towards getting Dwight then Brook does at this point.
I still think Brook is currently worth a lot in trade and I don't condone trading him for the sake of it, but I also think there are a lot of outside the box scenarios that make a ton of sense that might not on the surface or at first glance.

I think rose was the clear cut MVP once Dwight was knocked out 1st round.
Lebron was and is still the best player in the league, but whether it's fair or not, on team with Wade and Bosh, he can't be the league's most valuable player, that team is still technically a contender without him, especially so if looked at in the proper context that they would have also nabbed another big money FA or traded for a guy last offseason and had a deeper and better supporting cast in place of him.
And Westbrook was incredible to watch this year. But watching that offense is sickening. I like Westbrook, have pumped him up some for awhile, but as amazing as he often is off his physical abilities and athleticism matched with a high level skill set, he's quite the dumb player and is a ball stopper, if not ball hog.
He demonstrates terrible shot selection and decision making a lot of the time as well and, this is strictly my baseless opinion, but I think there's underlyings of some attitude problems, a clashing of egos of sorts with Durant.
It seems like he thinks he's Batman and Durant's his Robin even though the media says opposite, yet in this case in reality the media is obviously right.
They're young and have a lot of time to put it together and get better, get smarter and there's nothing wrong with confidence and swagger, a little cockiness and arrogance even, but if I'm them I explore trading the guy if they get knocked out quick.
I know that's a drastic change, but if they could get say Chris Paul for him they have to.

Aminu has been anything but lame he went through stretches of the season where he was flat out brilliant, he's raw yes but I really like his upside.
It's just sad that he has to play for the Clippers =(
