that's because he's not here. He will be at the Adidas Eurocamp in June, where he will be measured and available for workouts. He won't be at the combine (along with most of the Euro prospects-Vesely, Valanciunas, Motiejunas, etc.-- since the logistics don't work out as many of them are playing right now)

It is Knight or Kemba. When BC says there is almost no difference between the quality at 3 than at 5 what he means is there was pressure and risk to take a Kanter or a Val there but there is less to take a national champion or one of Florida's best ever players at 5. Knight will fit with Demar and Ed and the only risk with Kemba is that if he isn't getting the minutes he's use to he might get ticked off and infect his friends. He also said they now have more players to look at because likely when looking at number 3 he probably was thinking Kanter in capital letters for inside toughness. It does not sound like he wants to trade the pick but rather make other trades and possible free agent signings.

I don't think you can go too wrong with Kemba or Knight. I think Kemba is gonna be an NBA star or he won't even be a starter. I just can't see him being average his style of play either wins games or loses them. We'll see. Knight can be solid potentially very good. Probably won't end up sucking.

Screw it I'd just roll the dice and see what walker can do.

based on what i saw in the video posted here, as well as the one from draftexpress (nike hoop summit) this guy looks like the real deal. I take him at 5 (if he isnt gone already).

I watched the whole Nike Hoops Summit live online.

He was unbelievable. He was by far the best player on the International team during that game. He was the only player that could match up with Team USA's supreme athleticism & the only reason the game was somewhat competitive at times.

Make no mistake, he'd be a massive 3 year project for us, but in the end it might pay off.

My biggest concern is our recent history of developing C's (piss poor). Having said that, Ed's development this season as a 4 has been outstanding. They did a great job with him.

I think he's going to be a project too (especially offensively), but I think his defense can pay dividends for us pretty early, even if it does take some time to fully adjust to playing here.

Definately, if we can somehow develop him right, than I can see him being the leader in rebounding and shot blocking year in year out.

I'm good with Knight or Kemba... No to Valanciunas, Montiejunas, Vessely, and Biyombo.

Outside of Dontas (or anyone that can't play D), I don't think I can be mad at anyone they take at 5. I'll just have to trust them & hope they did their homework.

Whoever they pick MUST be at minimum an average defensive player though.

Let me try to decipher all the info given out.

At the end of season press conference Jay Triano said they're not willing to take much of a chance on a project player and instead take someone whos more nba ready.

We have the fifth pick. Likely Irving, Kanter, Williams, Val/Leonard or etc. will all be taken beforehand.

BC says he likes he likes Knight, Walker, Biyombo, Kanter, Valanciunas, Leonard, Burks

Kanter is gone Kawhi Leonard might be gone. Kawhi Leonard is sort of a project as well.

That leaves us down to Burks, Knight, Walker.

biyombo is 6' 8.

that's why people are weary we might end up with another pf by drafting him. I think he's a good hustler, bringing some ferocity and emotion, but ultimately only a dunker offensively. we need both d and o. what's dorsey's wingspan btw?

it comes down to walker/knight or val/biyombo. if we draft a big we can guarantee another top 3 pick next year while we wait for him to develop and roll bayless. bc should then trade for another pick in the top 10 for 2012 (jealous of the clev b-diddy trade right now). more likely he'll grab a safe leftover knight and try his hand at acquiring a center through free agency, cant see chandler or gasol leaving a playoff team for mediocrity though.

i'm really hungry as a raps fan to see a true center on this team.

^^ Dorsey has a 7'1.75" wingspan (8'11" standing reach).

Me too, by no means am I on the bandwagon but Kanter seems out of reach after the incident.

Next years draft will be LOADED because of all the guys who didn't want to deal with a lockout... Perhaps we should trade this pick for multiple first round picks next year?

I want a way to get more than 1 top 10 pick in the 12 draft without sacrificing our 11 pick or derozan/davis

Can it be done?

talk to Donald Sterling, he just traded away Kyrie Irving to save money on Baron Davis' deal.

I don't think we need to be that desperate. Some players are going to stay in school as well, and you never know which picks turn out to be top 10 next year.

We got Barbosa as a trade chip next year. Probably not a top 10, but maybe it can turn into a 20th pick.

DE strongly indicating that Enes Kanter is going to slide by refusing to work out competitively:

8th is likely the furthest Kanter would slide, due to a combination of not playing competitively the past two years and not working out for anyone outside of one-on-zeros

Kanter is scaring off already-skeptical teams with his unwillingness to work out competitively for any team.
