Alec burks. Ever heard of him? well if you haven't im going to make a case on why he is the player we need on this team. perhaps one of the most underated players of this draft, currently said to be taken anywhere from 7-13 pick. plays the sg position 6'6. and can create his own offense. you may think that hey we already have afflalo why do we need him, well the way this guy plays just speaks for itself, thrives on his transition game. does not like to shoot but is capable of it. drives in both left and right. with the right trainer he could become a serious threat in the nba. so how do we obtain him, well obviously trading afflalo jumps out at you but we have alot of elbow room to make changes. we could move felton or even chandler. if we could somehow trade felton and keep afflalo then it would be a win-win situation. check out this video and his profile for a more in depth look. tell me what you guys think.

It would cost a lot. For a position that isn't a particular need.
Have to keep in mind that the NBA could have a lockout pending. Unlikely that Denver would be able to trade players like Chandler and Affalo who are free agents. Would likely cost us Gallinari to move up to get him, and even then there's no guarantee. Not something I'd be willing to give up.
If it's future picks, and Denver sees him as an all star player I'm more then willing to give that up. The Ny Knicks pick in 2014 is nice, but you can't build a team hoping something three years from now might pan out in a higher pick. If he falls to ten or so, I'd be willing to give up the #22 pick, the 2014 Knicks pick and one of our own picks (assuming he works out great and the team is sold on him being a star player). Don't think that gets it done.
I know we need a star player, likely to be able to compete in the playoffs but we also have a gaping hole at Power Forward (unless you think Mosgov can be our starting center, and Nene will resign and play power forward).
Burks could jump as high as #5 in the draft. I do agree that he is a very talented player that has a great ceiling.

You are not going to get a lotto pick like Burks without giving up a good piece to move up, unless you trade felton in a deal where you bring back a bad contract along with a pick.

I like Burks, but I'm still not sold on him being able to make the transition that well. We also don't really need anymore wings at the moment.

What do you guys think of josh selby. he was said to be really underutilized in college. I could see him as our back-up pg. which would allow us trade felton for a pf. but what pf could we get for felton. any names anyone.

I am not a Selby fan. He is a sg trapped in a pg's body.

In the Post today, Hochman said that he thinks the Nuggets will/should target a PF. He listed a few names, but I didn't care much for who he mentioned (Harris, Singler, and I think the last one was Harper).

These are some of the best pfs we can draft with our pick. none in particular stand out but they are all solid options. tobias harris is probably the one i would draft.

Singleton is a SF.
Motiejunas will almost surely not slip to Denver.
Tyler is probably a C.
Zach Randolph + Kevin Durant >>>>>>> Greg Oden. Bob Whitsitt>>>>>> Kevin Pritchard.

interesting article on alec burks. Calls himself a young t-mac. willing to do whatever he iss asked to help out his team. and chauncey has already given him advice, so he would definitely be welcome here in denver. Heres hoping we can pull off a trade to draft him.

Why do we need a guy like Burks over say a starting big? Nene is almost 30, mozgov & Koufos are unproven, leaving the Nuggets with no proven starter next to Nene.
I would much rather keep Afflalo and draft a big that can play meaningful minutes.
