Beasley brings plenty of effort. Just look how often he moves over to help on Ridnour's man when Ridnour gets beat. The biggest problem with Beasley is that he's stuck in a stupid defensive system that involves the wings stopping penetration at the cost of giving up open 3s.

^Not sure about the effort part but I agree the system sucks.

We have 113 votes on the poll?

Those aren't all Wolves fans that's for sure. How many of those kind posters really want to see us keep the pick?

Kahn need to employ the George Costanza " Do the Opposite" rule :

In a Seinfeld episode, George returns from the beach and decides that every decision that he has ever made has been wrong, and that his life is the exact opposite of what it should be. He resolves to start doing the complete opposite of what he would do normally. He orders the opposite of his normal lunch, and introduces himself to a beautiful woman by saying "My name is George. I'm unemployed and I live with my parents." To his surprise, she is impressed and agrees to date him.

If Kahn says he might trade the pick - then he needs to do the opposite ! And bring in some veterans, for a change ! :D

I was day dreaming the other day and I was trying to play the role of the GM of the Cavs.

You have the #1 pick and the #4 pick in the draft and you have two teams that aren't in need of a PF/SF player in Williams, but might take him with their 2 and 3 pick.

If Williams completely wows the Cavs with his workouts and by looking at his college career (57% from three, one of the most efficient scoring seasons ever in college, shown to be clutch in big games), I think they COULD take Williams #1 knowing they have Knight available at #4 who is said to have the highest PG upside after Irving.

Also, Irving is the "Stud" of this draft, but I don't think his workouts and college career will blow people away like Williams would. Irving has all the skills and IQ to succeed at the pro level and I know the Cavs will take him #1, but i'm praying that the Cavs are looking at their 1 and 4 picks and risking on the potential of Williams/Knight and let us have Irving.

*Sigh*

Sportcenter (CB) said an option could be

MN sends 2nd

Cle sends 4th+ whole TPE

What would be the advantage of doing this?

Another media outlet that doesn't understand that TPE's can't be traded. They are only used and created.

Do they have cap space?

Ok, so I was right. I was confused about that.

TPE can be used by the team to absorb a contract, but they cannot be dealt to another team. Correct?

Could (hypothetically)

Cle
Out-4th pick, TPE (to absorb Iggy)
In- 2nd pick

Philly
Out-Iggy
In-Cap+ minor compensation

MN
Out-2nd
In- 4th and Iggy

So Clev uses the cap to bring in Iggy's contract?

Or could we just cut Clev out and offer Philly a cap friendly situation for Iggy?

Throw money at M. Gasol, Chandler or Oden and draft BPA with the 4.

After Irving, Williams and Kanter, drafting at #4 is basically throwing your fishing rod in the pond and hopefully coming out with something good.

Am I the only one that thinks that Cleveland will go with Willaims with the number one pick?

I personally feel that Brandon Knight will be the best point guard out of this draft class. Irving will be fine but is overrated. And Knight + Williams looks better than Irving and Kanter

If we cut Cleveland out, then we can't get the 4th pick coming back. Iggy is good, but he isn't worth the 2nd pick by himself.

Your idea is sound, but we'd need a TPE to do it.

What you'd need to do is send $14 mil in our player's salary with the pick swap, and create a $14 mil TPE for us, then use that TPE to acquire Iguodala.

You are in a very small minority. And I would take the Irving/Kanter combo in a heartbeat.

I doubt it. Someone will sneak up from nowhere, like Burks, and end up being the best, just like Roy was back in 06.

It doesn't have to be Burks. Maybe Montiejunas becomes the next Pau, or Kemba Walker will be the next Iverson but actually willing to pass it.

There is a lot of uncertainty in this draft. Guys like Irving and Kanter don't have a lot of experience at the college level and there are more than enough international prospects. I think this year we are going to find plenty of guys who should have been drafted way earlier.
