Have you ever seen a more biased national telecast?

Post#1 » by Tim_Hardawayy » Thu May 19, 2011 1:51 am

Have you ever seen a more biased national telecast than the last 2 TNT games between Miami and Chicago? I'm thinking back, and I honestly can't remember it if there is one.

I normally enjoy Steve Kerr too, but yeesh, between his slight distaste for Miami and his pure love for his Bulls, it's gotten obnoxious.

Even the camera crew is in on it, only replaying calls that go against Chicago, and not ones that Miami possibly gets screwed on.

Kerr was a Bull so I sort of understand.

But it's annoying as hell.

Reggie was pulling for the Celtics I believed.

ATLEAST WE DON'T HAVE TO HEAR JON BARRY.

he jizzes about the Bulls and Rose while commentating and says the dumbest things.

Make no mistake about it, everyone but Miami Heat fans HATE the Heat.

And the reasons why are pretty obvious.

Not sure if this has been the worst, but it's definitely up there.

To semi-defend Reggie Miller, I get the impression that once the series shifts back to Miami he'll get just as excited for explosive Heat plays. He's basically one of those commentators who just sides with the home crowd.

Kerr on the other hand is obviously a Bulls homer. Doesn't help that he's boring as hell. Can't understand the justification for him being there, I'd much rather Mike Fratello.

You definitely don't remember game 5 Boston, Reggie was quiet on a lot of the exciting plays by the Heat and jizzed over every Celtic play.

You may have a point, but I think I had left my TV on SAP for most of the game before I found my remote. :D

I can't believe you called Kerr boring and then suggested Fratello as an alternative.

Mike may be better in the unbiased category, but he's not exactly the most exciting announcer there is  He's also got a soft side for the Heat, since he was our color guy for a couple seasons IIRC (during the dark ages I think).

LOL, I was actually taking a shot at Kerr by saying that, but I guess I should have clarified. I also think Fratello is better from an Xs and Os perspective.

It's brutal. I can forgive Kerr's bias, I guess, because he used to be a Bull but he really shouldnt be calling this series. Reggie Miller is always intolerable. This has been a brutal, brutal series to have to listen to. I never say this about national telecasts but this is worthy of an exception. Obvious biases.

I was beginning to think I was simply overreacting, but it's just blatant. My favorite moment was when Kerr said he wasn't sure if a Wade/Miller/James/Haslem/Bosh lineup could get it done offensively. I'm surprised the feed didn't shut down.

Never, that was disgusting.

Charles is a blatant and openly stated Heat homer too and he covers the studio angle of the Heat hate brigade.

The TNT crews mouths look like closed pussies! They are like sour lemons because they don't want to give us credit but are forced to.

I've been through this kind of crap before, and I normally mute the TV and put the local radio broadcast on. Unfortunately I was stuck at a sports bar tonight, so I had no choice but to listen to these **** talk **** the entire game. It's unprofessional and doesn't belong in the booth.

I wish JVG and Kerr would announce a game together. JVG would destroy all the non-sense Kerr is spitting.
