What a surprise they have us picking a Euro. If we take Jonas I'm done as a Raptor fan period.

Yea, the consensus is more friendly. Aldridge seems out in left field. I'd much prefer Kemba.

So the Raptors DID attend one of Kanter's workouts at Kentucky.

Raps were impressed with what they saw of Kanter at a workout in Kentucky.

Its amazing how everyone is so different and there is no consensus pick with the posters of realgm. I dont think we've had that in the past?
Anyways, BC has a good draft history, and I personally trust him to take the player that most suits our interests.

It's too early for a consensus. Even back in the 2009 draft we didn't come to a consensus until it leaked out that BC promised DeMar he would pick him if he was still there at 9. Some wanted Flynn because he said Toronto was his second home, some wanted Curry because his dad played here, some wanted to trade up for Harden or Evans.
Same with the 2006 draft. The board was split in four's Aldridge, Bargnani, Gay and Roy. I didn't pay attention last year since our pick was too late for me to care but I think everyone was just saying pick best player available.

Interesting, I can see BC being enamoured with a player like Kanter and if he's still available i'm sure he'll take him.

Anyone else have this feeling if we pass on Kemba we're going to regret it? I am on his bandwagon based on what he's done he is the BAP.

I'm sure one of the PG's will be taken before us, so pretty much won't have an option but take the other PG that's left so I don't know what the fuss in debating which one we should take.

Im really warming up to our pick...as of right now, I feel that our pick will be entirely based on what utah and clev pick.... Ill be happy with any of knight, kemba, and kanter and I feel that 2 of them will be gone when our time is up.
Kemba has leadership and grit, knight has potential and defensive ability, and kanter has size and rebounding ability...all are needed on the raptors roster

Paul Jones had mentioned that BC will not be addressing our need for a C in this draft. I guess he thinks Kanter is not going to be there at 5

His reason is Vaesley can play the PF/C
Toronto Raptors | Jan Vesely | F-C | Partizan Belgrade (Serbia)
Big man plays with passion and would allow Raptors to move Andrea Bargnani out to the perimeter more or less permanently.
I doubt Vesely can play C, and he is not big enough to play PF neither. I hope he can play SF, so he can provide shot blocking at SF spot.

Yeah, weird article. I think most see Vesely as a 3/4. One of the big knocks against him is that he may not have the strength for a 4, much less a 5.
Interesting in that Fan590 interview yesterday he called Vesely the "most talented player" available.

Err, dug back a bit, but this may have already been posted. Bismack workout vid/short blurb:

Now, after the entire request to be unsubscribed from Madrid and spend a few days in his native country, the Congolese boy (18 years and 2.06 high) is located in the Basque city to prepare for the NBA Draft on June 23, where estimates place him among the top 10 chosen.
In Vitoria, Bismack Biyombo has already been visited by several NBA franchises are willing to look closely at the inside game Congolese, who coaches routinely orders Pepe Laso and has already confirmed their presence in the next Draft.
The short-term plans to continue doing Biyombo spend private practice ("workouts") in Vitoria with several franchises, while his tourist visa allows, before passing through the campus Eurocamp in Treviso, where he will continue doing workouts.

There is no way in hell Vesely can play center.

Draft Combine just got underway. Right now, just guards doing dribbling drills. No Walker or Knight as expected, Fredette's doing most of them. Irving won't participate at the combine. He'll just measure.
