No way am I adding sweetener to end up with Kanter at the end of this craptastic season. Take Walker and run and if he's gone, BPA. Forget trading up to get someone if it'll cost some of our precious few assets.

A team like Utah enough sweetener may be simply a lesser cap hit for the player they want. so a future 2nd or something . im just speculating.

I don't like small pgs and I'd still consider a Nelsen size pg small. Especially when lacking a defensive / shot blocking C

I hear ya, if we weren't so depleted of talent across the board I'd probably agree with you.

For defensive purposes we may be better suited at taking Knight. He's big and has a strong frame and can really get in a guards face when he wants.

It makes Kemba Walker taller than:

- Raymond Felton (5'11.5")
- Johnny Flynn (5'11.25")
- Pat Mills (5'11.25")
- TJ Ford (5'11")
- Bobby Jackson (5'11")
- Jacque Vaughn (5'11")
- Ty Lawson (5''10".75")
- Travis Best (5'10.75")
- Aaron Brooks (5'10.5")
- Chucky Atkins (5'10.5")
- Speedy Claxton (5'10.5")
- Jameer Nelson (5'10.25")
- DJ Agustin (5'10")
- Dana Barros (5'10")
- Nate Robinson (5'7.75")

Some of those guys above were considered very good defenders. Jacque Vaughn was considered a defensive specialist when he was in the league. He is also more athletic than most of them.

Personally, I think the more urgent issue is our lack of top-end talent, rather than our lack of across-the-board talent (though that problem does exist as well).

So if the Raptors believe Kanter can be an impact player, I wouldn't hesitate to give up, say, James Johnson to move up a couple slots and pick him.

Awesome! I'll be watching for sure... And Singleton is someone I've been high on all season, and I'd love to add him with a hypothetical 2nd pick. Assuming he continues to work on that jumper, he'd be a perfect fit next to DeMar.

Will Singleton be gone before 20th pick? We initially had a 30th pick right? I would be thrilled if we had drafted him using that pick, having a defensive stopper at SF for us would be gold but too little too late. No offense there JJ, Singleton is more interesting.

I'm starting to get the feeling that Kemba is a complete stud! Combine his monster NCAA season, surprising size, and freakishly low turnover rate for the amount he handles the ball. It makes it hard to believe that he won't get picked higher.

makes kemba the same height, give or take a quarter inch, as iverson and chris paul, and he is a lot stronger than either of those guys were when they came into the league.

I thought realistically he was 5'8" to 5'10" without shoes (based on some things that I had read & how small he looks on the court).

If he is almost 6 foot without shoes, this is a huge surprise.

Is that official or just an estimate?

Well for the record. Flynn measured 6.075 with shoes and Lawson 6.05. So Kemba being their size makes sense. I think those two guys are a lil bigger than we usually think of them too
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

It's where he should have been from the beginning.

I'm pretty sure they had him there before.

DX has a top 100 prospects and a mock draft. In the top 100, Kemba is 3 (and has been). In the mock, Brandon Knight is 3 to Utah and Kemba is 5 (this also hasn't changed). So maybe that's what caused the confusion.

That's not their mock draft tho. Thats just Top 100. They still have Knight going to Utah

Why does UTAH want a pg when they have Devin Harris. I'm not calling Devin a stud or anything, but he is an NBA starting pg and thats all that I expect from Knight or Walker. I would persume if they wanted a PG then they would take Knight over Walker as Walker is very similar to Devin imo.

Enes Kanter impressed GMs here. Looked more athletic than they thought. Marshon Brooks looked great too. Ditto Kenneth Faried.

Irving and Williams were long shots, but Kanter was close to a lock. He's relly the only prospect of interest to me outside of the top 2.

Hm, it sounds like they're looking to trade out of the draft outright rather than just trade down.

@SamAmicoFSO Sam Amico
Pacers are ones making seriously play for No. 2. Granger is being mentioned. So are Rubio and Beasley. Again, more later on FOX.
