BC would have to think about a Derrick Williams + Ridnour + Pekovic for Bargnani + No. 5 deal I would think.

Although I'm having wet daydreams about this possibility I don't see why you pair Love and Bargnani. It's begging to suck.

Kanter measured 6'10 (+?), 255. I'd still go with him, but that's not impressive for a 5 (considering he is neither long nor althletic).

Edit: not sure if this is with or without shoes, I'm simply going from what is listed in the following combine video (from today): http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=656722 ... id=2459788.

Thats an awful little deal. We have two PG's under contract already and Pekovic is just awful... Derrick has to prove he can effectively play the three and still be a potential Allstar for that talk to commence.

Also MINN ranks 28th in salary I doubt they really are looking to shed salary.

Minny doesn't have any really bad contracts. Their worst contract is Martell Webster, who peaks at 5.7 million in two years, and even that final year is only 600,000 guaranteed if you waive him. They are going to need to re-sign some of their young guys though (Love, Beasley, Randolph after next year).

Wasn't overly impressed with him at 3 but at 5 its not terrible. The Red Flags scare the hell outta me

There is absolutely no way Kanter will make it to five, and if, by some act of god, he does I'd hope we wouldn't think twice about drafting him.

6-10, 255 pounds is the same information ESPN has had for Enes Kanter for months on his profile page:

http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/draft/re ... nes-kanter

Doesn't mean it's wrong but I'm not convinced it reflects the measurements as taken today.

I'm glad we draft 5th. Had we somehow won the lottery, we would have been stupid not to take Irving. But now the draft selection is wide open (Big Man, PG, College, European) so we can have a plethora of "I knew we should have picked Player X" threads over the next 2-3 years of Colangelo's contract extension.

Getting rid of Beasley's no defense playing shot chucking ass would be the best thing Khan ever did, dumping over-hyped Rubio is just an added bonus.

I don't think Kanter is any bigger than 6'10. He didn't seem that much taller than the other big men during the drills.

Kanter always seemed like a Power forward in my eyes.

Put it this way, If Gasol, Duncan,... and a comparable Horford consider themselves powerforwards...Kanter should be a PF too. He was even quoted he'd like to play face up and the forward spot.

Either way, he doesn't seem like he'd be great as a defensive anchor. However, as a powerforward who can be an above average rebounder, he'd be fine.

Kanter is way more of a Power forward compared to Biyombo.
Prediction
Spurs in 7. Parker MVP. Lebron 6-17fg, 18pt, 8reb, 5 asst in game 7 LOSS.
The Heat will choke!

Kanter would pair wonderfully with Davis's shot blocking and rebounding tendencies. I think they compliment each other........but we may never have a chance to find out without moving up.

Kanter looked good in the 2-on-1 fast-break drills. He moves well running in the open court and basically did whatever he wanted in the paint. He looks really tired so we'll see how that affects him in these shooting drills.

That sounds like Hoop Summit. He has amazing foot work and touch in the paint.

I really need to stop praying for this guy to land in Toronto and come to the reality we're drafting some combo guard 6th man or a project from Europe.

Probably not going to happen. Today was a big for Enes. He came out of hiding and impressed everyone.
