OK. Hendo and #9 for #2 and #20, to go with our #19 and #39. I'll do it.

In a fracking heart beat.

Take Kanter #2, Klay Thompson #19 and BPA at #39.

Agree with ohara and Slam.

Doubt the wolves would bite because I think they could do better for the #2 selection. However, if they would do Hendo and #9 for #2, we could play it one of two ways:

Take Kanter as Slam suggest and be

DJ/Someone like Tompkins or Brooks we take at 19/Jax/Tyrus/Kanter

or go Derrick Williams if we think he can play the three. He reminds me alot of LJ who I think would play SF had he come out in this day and age. Even if Williams cant make the transition, at worst he's a david west type at the 4 with more range on his jumper so the downside is very limited.

I'd then contact Houston and offer Jax (who only has a couple years left on his deal and would represent an upgrade in every facet over Budinger in their playoff push next year) and #19 and #39 (which they could package with their 14 if so inclined to move into the top 10 as they are rumored to be interested) in return for Twill and Thabeet.

Twill could serve as our 2 guard replacement for Hendo. I still believe he has 14-16 ppg 5 reb, 5 assist type potential. Thabeet would at least give us some insurance at 5 if kwame walks. At best he turns into a mutombo lite, at worst we just decline his team option if he shows no further developement. We would shed Jackson's salary.

We would be:

DJ / Twill / Derrick Williams / Tyrus / Thabeet (or kwame)

This line up would still be a year or two away and a couple pieces short (center) from being a player but it would be young, exciting roster and we would have great financial flexibility to make additional moves.

I dont think you go wrong with either Williams or Kanter. To me it comes down to one fact. There are more SF's available than Centers. I'd go with Kanter, but Williams is a freak and hard to resist.

I think this the Rose-Beasley draft once again and passing on irving would be a mistake from Cavs.

I thought it was generally accepted who the top 2 prospects in this draft were?

If we miraculously get a top 2 pick, you have to pick one of those players.

Even if we couldn't trade Jax, move him back to the 2g.
Dj, Jax, DWill, Tyrus/Diaw, Kwame.

Magic fan here. Quick question.

Would you guys do this trade or no?

Tyrus Thomas / Matt Carroll

Brandon Bass / JJ Redick

JJ's contract is no good. But he fills a need... idk.

Well he's got 2 more seasons on his contract that gets smaller each year. $6.5M next season and $6M the following. The last year of the deal should not be bad, especially when you think it could be a valuable "expiring contract" which could be useful irregardless of the player.

Is it that bad a contract? It ends the same time as Carroll's and I think you'll get better production per cost.
