Ill pass on Biyombo. He's from Congo which means instead of being 18 he's probably 39. And he has No, Zero, Nothing as far as an offensive game. From what I've read he has only played in 8 senior national games. He reminds me of Sene who was drafted a few years ago.

Nicely done. The Cavs will be thrilled. I like Burks at #9 and Faried at #19.

Very interesting that Kanter did not interview with Jazz (#3), Raptors(#5) or Bucks (#10). Word leaking he wants toplay in Wash (#6). If he will at least talk with Charlotte, would be very interesting to see if we can move up to #5 with our #9 and #19.

You apparently don't have enough info to value him fairly.

i guess you focues more or needs than actual order assuming teams would figure out trades to land players they want wothout passing on possibly more valuable player.
I doubt Utah would draft both Knight and Fredette, they are Wolves enough to do that. Donatas is too low, even if he slips someone would gamble on him, he just needs to be compared to Gallinari, Bragnani with rebounding and someone will bite. Mirotić shouldn't go in first round as he shows little interest to play in NBA (ever). I think Markieff should go earlier, I bet there won't such a gap between the twins, not sure where he should landed. I don't expect Faried to last rill 19th but i would be thrilled if we would get him there. Burks and Faried would be solid draft, I wouldn't be thrilled (there is still hope someone would slip to as at 9th) but we can do much worse. My two cent, not bad at all.

Youre right I don't have enough info to evaluate him because he has rarely played any basketball. He would be a huge project. Like a 3-4 year project. From what I have read he is so raw on the offensive end he even has trouble catching the ball in the post. Can't deny his 7'7 wingspan, though.

Too be honest I think I screwed up the Jazz draft. I guess when I saw Jazz at 12 and Fredette still there, I put him there. Oh well.

Re: Bobcats Picks Discussion (#9, #19, #39)
I think we are getting to worried about peoples measurable and who somebody says they play like. You guys compare every power forward to Tyrus.
I just do not see the upside with Biyombo. I mean yeah he could be a good defender and rebounder, but you can get that later in the draft. He has no upside to me, He could be 25 for all we know, and he is a poor mans Serge Ibaka. At least Ibaka has a midrange jumper and he seems to be more athletic. Biyombo would be fine if we already had a good starting 5 and wanted to take a chance on somebody. To me we need a scorer and somebody who change our offensive scheme.
I like Burks, but I think we have to go big with the 9th pick. I think Donatas would be a great pick there. We could play him at Center this year and then if we get an enforcer later then we could slide him to the 4. I think Tyrus and Donatas would be a good pairing, because Donatas is the finese player and the one with the postgame. While Tyrus is the rebounder and the bluecollar guy.
There are plenty of good wing prospects at 19. I hope either Klay or Hamilton fall to our pick, but if they dont we can still take Honeycutt, Brooks, Singleton, or Jordan Williams.

Well they still may do that planning to play one or the other at SG too, I don't know. They both seems to be probablye Utah picks, getting both of them may be just a little bit of an overkill. Any trade could easily change that of course.

Re: Bobcats Picks Discussion (#9, #19, #39)
It seems quite funny to question medically determined Biyombo's age - because he is African, non-American*, right! - when on the other hand this country even doesn't/hasn't know/n legal circumstances of birth of its president. I guess there is somehow a natural desire for conspiration theories and that's it.
*there is similar questioning of Kanter's age, which is outright ridiculous even more when you check he was actually born in Zürich.

Re: Bobcats Picks Discussion (#9, #19, #39)
Biyombo has done almost nothing to show he can even play in the NBA. He has had a couple games of late that he rebounded well, but that's it. From everything I have read and seen he will be a HUGE project, like someone else said. He has little to no offensive game and relies solely on his rebounding. Problem is that he is extremely small for a C in the NBA and will likely loose a lot of the rebounding edge he holds in his other league which features guys mostly smaller than him. In my eyes he is a PF and would be unsuccessful as a C here in the NBA. He just lacks the size and even if he were to grow an inch or two, he would still be on the short side. And you don't even know if he will grow an inch or two, that's how much of a risk this pick would be. We don't need a risk, we need a sure thing. If you want a risk you can probably take one of the other european centers at 19 or even Kieth Benson or Jordan WIlliams at the 39th. Both have done a hell of a lot more against a lot better competition.

Re: Bobcats Picks Discussion (#9, #19, #39)
I think i'm about sold on Burks. I had previously questioned his ability to be versatile, but that has been answered plus some. I now believe he can play SF full time as well as SG. I think at SF he would be an excellent passing F and would probably be best suited. Hopefully for us that is the case because we will need to fill that hole eventually. In the short term he can serve as a super sub off the bench for both Hendo and Jack. I still question his 3 point shooting. We wouldn't be overly successful with Hendo and Burks starting together with their current 3 point shooting game. However, Burks seems like a hard work and so perhaps one of the two can develop that 3 point game.
I think right now my picks for the 9 and 19 would be Burks and Jordan Williams. If we draft Burks then IMO Reggie Jackson cannot be the pick at 19. We are already set at the PG position and with Burks we would have our SG. We need to fill more of a need at 19 and if Williams is there, he could do that. I know he is a little small, which i don't like, but he has had a lot of success against big time talent. He could be a Sheldon Williams type player, or he could turn into a consistently rebounding big man who can give you some scoring here and there (more than the C's we currently have on the roster).

If we cannot get Kanter, then Burks and Leonard are my favorites for #9 at this point. But you never know wha thte FO is thinking. They may feel a new PG is essential and want Knight or they may fall in love with Kemba Walker. Vesely has a high ceiling and is projected before #9 and if he fell to us, he could be the pick. Honestly, I dont think anyone really knows what the FO is thinking as they will hold their cards close to the vest. Anything that comes out is likely a smokescreen in my eyes.

ATM my list goes something like:
#9 = Kanter, Burks, Leonard, Bitchslap
#19 = Hamilton, Williams, Thompson, Nogueira
#39 = Brooks, Thompkins, Lighty, Vucevic
But this will probably change once team workouts start.
