Poll: Kanter, Knight or Kemba?

"I wouldn't mind going there," Knight said. "It's a great city. They always have a great group of guys. I want to surround myself with a good group of guys. I like the things Utah is about. I'd enjoy going to Utah."

If Williams isn't on the board, I hope the Jazz go with Knight.

According to KOC, we'll be drafting BPA. Kanter's stock has gone up with the combine, if he's available I think we're going to take him. I guess cause BPA would be Williams or Irving, upgrades over what we have at SF/PG and then from there on it's not worse just taking a guy who will probably never see more than the bench, maybe 6th player role at best. Kanter has gotten tons of praise, and has even been considered the best center prospect since Oden/Howard. I keep hearing that Knight would probably be no better than Harris. What's the point of wasting a 3rd pick on someone as good or worse than someone we're considering on replacing.

I can't see any reason to take Knight at the 3 with either Williams or Kanter on the board. If we really wanted to draft a PG we should move down to 5 or 6 but I don't think either are worth it.

Besides, as you know I would rather take Kemba Walker over Knight.

His (Knight) interview doesn't sway my opinion about him much, I'm sure he answered the same way about every other team. Smart prospects usually do.

CHICAGO — While growing up, Enes Kanter knew quite well when the Jazz usually tipped off at EnergySolutions Arena.

Kanter's hometown of Istanbul, Turkey is nine hours ahead. So Kanter used to set his alarm for the wee hours of the morning to watch Turkish center Mehmet Okur play on television for the Jazz in games that usually started at 7 p.m. Mountain Time.

"I was like, waking up at 4 in the morning, watching games, and then going back to sleep," Kanter said Friday at the NBA draft combine.

Much has changed since those days for Kanter, who turned 19 Friday. The big man is a top NBA draft prospect, and he could go as high as No. 3 to the Jazz.

Kanter wouldn't mind that at all. He grew up cheering for Okur. And even though the two never have met, Kanter said Okur sent him best wishes for the combine through a Jazz official.

"He talked to some of the guys on Utah and then (a Jazz official that Kanter wasn't able to recall by name) told me that Mehmet Okur said 'hi' and said 'good luck,"' Kanter said.

Kanter likely made Okur proud by playing well at the combine, which runs here Wednesday through Saturday. Kanter said he will have a workout in Utah sometime before the June 23 draft, when it will be seen if he becomes Okur's teammate.

"(Salt Lake City) is a great city and a great place to play, and (the Jazz has a) really good team," said the 6-foot-10 Kanter, who said his preferred position is power forward although he also plays center. "I followed them when I was in Turkey."

There is a topic on Cavs Forum ; Who has actually seen Kanters play?

As a Turkish fan I really didn't see him playing. When Okur, Hedo, Ilyasova, Erden, Asik and Zaza Pachulia went to NBA they were all well known players in Turkey.
He didn't play in Turkish League so much, We only read about his prep school and collage games. He is just a questionmark in my country.

Well, Kanter seems to be a question mark everywhere aside from UK.
For some reason Calipari's recent remarks doesn't make me feel better about drafting Kanter... I just don't trust Calipari...

That said... this is not a superb draft class... dude's 6-10/6-11, good frame, nice athleticism, post game, jumpshot... he can certaily climb the ladder all the way...

We will get one of Kanter, Williams, or Irving. Not a bad spot to be in at all. Personally, I hope we take Kanter.

I don't know any of those players I'm from Europe... I only watch NBA. But I say that we should get the best player, regardless of his position. Big Al, Millsap, AK are all easily tradeable, since they're not GREAT stars but are good players. But I would try to keep Al, he will be a good 2nd option on offense as we saw it last season, specially after D. Williams went to NJN.
