Yeah... but he did that from a role off the bench, he struggled when he was the starter no matter how you cut it. Yes he's adapted to the PF spot but he's a natural 3 and plays like it most of the time. I'm not saying he can't play the 4, I'm just not trusting he can man it for 82.

I'm not sure what that means. Now a natural 4 in what sense? He's guarded PFs for years, that's how a defensive position is determined. Fisher is a 1 because of what he plays on defense and that's the case for all positions. Your role on offense can be anything.

Meaning LO doesn't have a rugged 4's game, his game is geared more towards a 3.....which is what LO always said he was. He was converted into a 4 once he went to Miami. Yes he can check 4's of todays NBA because most don't use a power game like they did in the 80's. But let's look at the times when he's had to guard natural 4's with a power game, like Big Baby.....who seems to light LO's ass to shreds as does Carl Landry. These guys play in the paint and not on the perimeter.

He does struggle against them much more so Baby than Landry though. Boozer he does pretty well against. It's Davis that's just far too heavy.

Although I appreciate Lamar's ability to handle the ball I think it's a little bit of a gimick compared to what Lamar could be if he had a true 3 point shot. Once in a blue moon it helps him take one coast to coast and helps bring up the ball against tough ball pressure.

If we could find a plus rebounding, true 3 point shot guy, with good post defense like Ryan Anderson he might be a better fit especially when Lamar's 3 point shot is off (happened in the 08 Finals against K.G. where he could not stretch the floor for crap).

LO was brought in ti play the 3 here and it never worked out. He's a tweener but his best position if there is one is at PF.

he didn't struggle cause he was a starter, heck he's started a ton of games the last few yrs in bynum's absence, a ton.

before pau got here, he just wasn't the #2 that people that he'd be, it wasn't so much that he struggled.
also, its not LO's fault a creator/passer like him had to deal with kwame brown playing next to him.

Yeah that's true Cash, and when I say struggle I don't mean it in a egregious type of way. Just that he struggled against the more physical guys that play that spot.
