Sorry, but people, for the most part, are judged based on rep and until MJ proves that he can draft better, than his rep will always precede his abilities to do so.

Interesting latest mock on draft express. They have Kanter going one pick prior to us at 8 and then Jordan Hamilton going one pick before us at 18. That would be an absolutely TERRIBLE draft if both of our targeted guys went one pick before us. Seems as though Kanter is starting to fall a bit. They no have him behind Valancius and Biyombo. Idk about you, but I would rather Kanter to both of those guys and i'm haven't even been on the Kanter bandwagon from the start.

They have us taking Danatas Motiejunas which they compare to Pau Gasol. Personally I think I would be fine with that pick, but I would expect for us to try and get Hamilton with the 19th and possibly trade up if we had to.

I don't think Kanter is falling. Especially after a good showing at the combine. I think we'll get a better sense of who's rising and falling when the team workouts start up.

I'd rather just see us trade up or trade into a pick next year somehow. Nobody that can really fall to us is going to have an impact on a roster like ours. We need quick scoring type guards/wings or a solid C who can actually be an offensive threat.

I think there will be a chance we can trade up with Cleveland, Minn, and Utah.

He's short for his position
He has no offensive game
He has little professional experience
He's an obvious long term project
We don't even know how old he is

But boyyy does he have some long arms!

Saw one recent mock that had Brandon Knight falling to Charlotte. Most others have him going #3 or #4. Dont think he'll fall to #9, but if he did, DJ is back to the bench. Maybe not at the start of the season, but I would bet by the end.

I doubt Knight would start off the bat....My guess would be IF Knight fell, he would be a sub off the bench primarily behind Hendo. He would work with Liv as the two would be combo guard type on the court. Seriously doubt he would start though.

Chris Singleton has moved up to #10 on ESPN Big Board. Wonder if he is in play for #9 as a SF for Charlotte? Adds a ton of defense to the team, that's for sure. Lockdown defender.

I like Singleton a lot, he would be a nice player to hold onto for the future. We need scoring though. I mean this team is so boring to watch on offense. If we had 2 dependable scorers in our lineup then Singleton would fit in nicely.

Just saw a mock with Charlotte taking Valanciunas at #9 and Faried at #19. If we trade Diaw and #39 for another quality pick and get another scorer, I'd be happy with that draft.

No way I want anything to do with either of the Morris twins. I think those guys are gonna have a nervous breakdown if they don't go to the same team. Fredette would be ok at #19, but not if Brooks is still on the board.

Alec Burks and Nikola Vucevic would be a better result IMO.

10 might be a bit high for Singleton.

All of this movement is to be expected with no real separation in talent. It's going to be real hard to predict where guys are going to go. Some are going to surprise and go much higher and some will fall more than expected.

There is a reason why he will likely go Top 7. He'd be a nice pick at #9, but dont think he makes it to us.

To be honest, I am genuinely excited about this Draft. For all the really good players that decided to return to college, I still think we get something very nice at #9 and #19. And if we were to trade Diaw and #39 and get a 3rd 1st round pick, assuming the right person we want is still there, this could be a very huge Draft for Charlotte. If we can land a C,PF and a SG or SF with these 3 picks, I would be quite happy with our youth and potential.
