I know nothing about how to run an organization, but I man on hearing the news about Jerry West taking ajob with the Warriors, I just seems crazy to hear that Jerry West is working somewhere else. To me he's a Laker for life and should be in LA at some capacity. When I look at him all I see is Lakers. Damn....... :-?

He went off to work for Memphis before, so this is really nothing new. no big deal really, he has his place in Laker lore, for 50+ years.

That's what the problem was .
An probably the main reason for his departure with no return.

Jerry West had a couple issues with Jim Buss supposedly.
Nonetheless, I think Mr. Clutch felt that what he did for the Lakers organization as a player and a GM was extraordinary.

Good for the NBA that he's spreading the wealth.

On the other hand, it seems as if we've been doing fine without him having a direct hand in the organization. He's better off saying something about Kobe to the media, then watching Kobe drop 40+ pts the next night.

Point was that OP was freaking out about West not being around LA when he's been in Memphis already.
