The Miami Heat are among the classiest franchises in the NBA. Micky Arison and Pat Riley are top notch. Head Coach Erik Spoelstra gives everyone their due respect, he is an intelligent, classy man.
You just attacked an entire fan base, city, and our players. That's not right.
Ok so let’s talk about “class”. Was the “Decision” classy? Was it classy when Lebron, Wade, and Bosh got on stage dancing while guaranteeing multiple rings? When rumors started to swirl around (I believe by Bosh) about how they had planned several years ago to team up in Miami, classy? How about all the whining and crying in the locker room? Was that classy? Or when Wade came out and said that the world is a better place now that the Heat are losing? What about the way that Lebron refers to himself in 3rd person to the media? Is that also classy?
Where there’s smoke there’s fire. The Heat players along with the organization have earned this label. What’s the rest of the NBA supposed to do, act as if it never happened? But then, what’s even more “classy” is when somebody says something about it they act as if they’ve been seriously disrespected.
And here’s a serious question; do Heat fans REALLY think that the players and organization have been “classy” this past year?

In most nationally televised college football games, ESPN does their pre game open air in front of fans like the TNT show tonight. And whenever Lee Corso or whoever picks the away team in those games, the crowd boos and heckles them with passion. And nobody cares at all, because it's really not a big deal. People are making a big deal of it here because they want any excuse to bash the Heat or their fans, or are suffering from pretty standard and universal cognitive biases.

I’ve never seen this happen in the NBA before. That’s what we’re talking about right, the NBA? Not a bunch of college kids at a pep rally, right? But even better yet, people aren’t allowed to have an opinion on it. They just use it as an “excuse” to hate. You’re saying that the Heat players didn’t supply any ammo and are just innocent victims of this unwarranted “hate”.

In fairness, they did get a lot of media attention. I’ll also say this, without the comments and dancing they still would have generated a lot of hate. But, they actually did this stuff. Commentators and fans of other teams aren’t just making this stuff up. I can see Heat fans defending their players but to call people “haters” because they’re calling these guys out for what they’ve done and said in the media is just wrong. And, I'm not holding Heat fans to a double standard, I just don't see how they consider this stuff "classy".
The dancing, guaranteeing rings, the whining, and all the commotion that they brought onto themselves has struck a nerve with a lot of fans and media outlets. This is stuff that they’ve done to themselves. With that said, myself along with other fans/fan bases are entitled to our opinions in regards to the situation. If you consider all the stuff that they’ve done and said classy I’m curious to hear what you consider distasteful.
