Beyond idiotic.

Since when did Mengele work for Stalin? He hid in Bavaria after the war until fleeing to Argentina.(Also, summing up Mengele as experimenting on Jews is a bit disingenuous, he was originally put in charge of a camp of Roma and continued to experiment on the Roma alongside Jews(notably the Ovitz family, a family of midgets) later. He experimented on pretty much anyone for the fun of it, with a fascination w/ twins. Obviously I'm droning on, it just pissed me off when people act like the Roma did not exist, or exclude their mention)

was Russian-made and crewed by human children who were surgically altered to resemble aliens by Nazi death-camp doctor Joseph Mengele, acting at Joseph Stalin's behest.

lol i find it pretty entertaining actually. Any real christian already doesnt believe this guy since what he says goes compeltely against what the bible says will happen. lol so we've all be spiritually judged at this point he says. So the rest of the 5 months doesnt matter. i bet he puts together another add campaign close to OCT 21. As long as people are listening he'll continue to act a fool, he likes the attention. And he'll just keep recalculating his life away.

Camping offered no clues about Family Radio's finances Monday, saying he could not estimate how much had been spent on getting out his prediction nor how much money the nonprofit had taken in as a result. In 2009, the nonprofit reported in IRS filings that it received $18.3 million in donations, and had assets of more than $104 million, including $34 million in stocks or other publicly traded securities.

Wait, so he thinks the World will end (and any Christian will tell you that Worldly Possessions mean nothing in the end of Days), and is trading Stocks with people's Donations?!

I honestly think there has to be a way this guy can be arrested for fraud. His organization did all sorts of protective financial maneuvers the impacts of which had ramifications well beyond the apocalypse date they were promoting. I would love to see it happen. He's a liar and crook in my books.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/201 ... nsequences
A California woman named Lyn Benedetto was one of millions who heard Camping's message, and became concerned that her daughters would suffer terribly in the coming apocalypse. She allegedly forced her daughters, 11 and 14, to lie on a bed and then cut their throats with a box cutter. She then tried to kill herself, though police arrested Benedetto and all three survived.
Others were not so lucky. An elderly man in Taiwan reportedly killed himself on May 5 ahead of the Rapture by jumping out of a building. He had heard that doomsday was imminent, and had taken recent earthquakes and tsunamis as early warning signs.
There were other unconfirmed reports of doomsday-related suicides around the world as well.

Way to go Camping...

also,

Egyptian pyramids found by infra-red satellite images

Seventeen lost pyramids are among the buildings identified in a new satellite survey of Egypt.

More than 1,000 tombs and 3,000 ancient settlements were also revealed by looking at infra-red images which show up underground buildings.

Initial excavations have already confirmed some of the findings, including two suspected pyramids.

The work has been pioneered at the University of Alabama at Birmingham by US Egyptologist Dr Sarah Parcak.
