Draft Board Consensus - Poll No. 14

Post#1 » by doc.end » Mon May 23, 2011 8:37 pm

Off the board: Irving, Williams, Kanter, Biyombo, Walker, Knight, Valanciunas, Leonard, Burks, VeselĂ˝, Hamilton, Motiejunas and Klay Thompson

I reshuffle options a bit, removing those who don't receive votes and went with more diversity. Brooks added as an option on request. Markieff is unlikely to get votes before his brother so Singleton should be next forward added.

To me Tristan Thompson is too talented to even be left at this point. He would defiantly be the power forward of the future on this team. Faried is a good hustler, but I just do not see him as a scorer of any kind. Thompson seems to be more athletic of the two. Thompson is taller and longer than Faried as well.

Thompson has some McMay in him, as he measured the fattest of everyone at the combine (15%+). Compared to me that's really lean, but I'd worry about his long-term conditioning. Still at this point you go with whomever you think is the best player. I'm jumping into the Brooks boat here...yes I know it's far earlier than projected but he's gonna rocket up the chart once team workouts start.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Brooks. A shooting guard who can shoot!

Watch him hang 52 on Notre Dame:

I'm going Tristan Thompson. He will be a Top 8 pick, so way too much value here to leave on the board. And it opens up the door to trading Diaw and #39 for another 1st round pick.

Brooks. We need a scorer that's willing to chuck it up Crawford style.
