can we let this go? sure a threepeat would've been nice.

I don't think the spanish team will hurt him. This was the first time pau skipped the nat'l team and he ran out of gas. i think it was more of a confidence issue than pau realizes. he'll get a lot of confidence back playing on the national team.

LO played last summer and had the best year of his career in my opinion...
Pau didn't and had maybe one of his worst...

It's not that simple, but I'm getting to where I really don't care what they do in the off-season... Put up when the Lakers need you to, or get out.

So if he does play for Spain, his ass better bring it next season.

Shouldn't Gasol already have confidence after winning a championship and proving to people that he can be a tough player?

So seems we all agree that his conditioning was the problem, so everyone also in favor of him playing for the Spanish team? since it seems to help keep in shape?

What exactly did Odom accomplish in the playoffs? The biggest thing that saved him from being called out for his extra curricular stuff and lack of production in the post season was Pau sucking harder.

Well, in defence of the entire situation, it's not like Drew logged huge minutes to spell him all season.

Unless you consider MBenga legitimate help.

Mbenga would have helped but we didn't even have him, We actually had whatever was left of Theo Ratliff for 2 weeks before he went down.

I totally agree... I'm not really the biggest Odom fan to begin with so it's easy for me to see how he dropped off when it counted... He seems to do that in the playoffs.

But there is no question that he had maybe the best regular season of his career...

Just trying to look for positives here...

I'm honestly way past caring what these guys do in the off season... So much of it doesn't make sense to me from a Championship winning perspective.

Hell if they get hurt, maybe we can get an injury exception or something...

How the hell can Gasol said he collapsed from playing too much and THEN want to play in the summer? Its a big F-U to Laker fans. I would have played better if I had more rest. Then rest jerk.

I'm a Gasol fan. I think he needs Dr. Malfy.

We need to pick up Hilton Armstrong or another big who will play. The Lakers need to load the bench like Jerry West had it under his regime. Glad we have a coach who can defend pick and roll!!!!!
