Jalen never said that Wayne the Great didn't deserve a statue.
It's just Kareem deserved to have his statue before him.
An before The Golden Boy for damn sure. I agree.

How were they being stupid?
Well Dana's point about Chick was stupid.

As for Jalen and Skip, I thought they made valid points.

As for Kareem voicing out his frustrations I agree with most in here that he didn't handle the situation in the best possible way. He still gets a pass from me because he is arguable one of the Greatest Basketball Players of all Time who just defeated cancer and is cherishing ever minute he has nowadays.

Put yourself in Kareem's shoes.
An really think about what Kareem has done for the game of basketball.
An if you don't know Google him.
Kareem seeing all these statues not just in the Lakers organization (Bill Russell Recently, Michael Jordan) get put up and it's got to frustrate the hell out of him.

For instance in Philly, Rocky Balboa had a statue and he's not even real!?!
I know they took it down a couple years ago
but the fact is that it's obviously not that hard to do.
GK knows what I'm talking about.

An let's not beat around the bush about our Beloved Owners .
I love them to death and they are no doubt the Greatest Sports Franchise Owners in History.
This isn't the first time they had a conflict with a Superstar Lakers Big .
The only difference is Shaquille was being a baby about not getting another 100 million dollar contract as they were trying to pay Kobe his first 100 million dollar contract.
What Kareem has done for the Lakers franchise is ten times more than what Shaq has done.

Not a secret that they favor their beloved Guards a bit More.
It doesn't matter how much all the haters and media wants to dice it up about Kareem venting out his frustrations. HE DID GET DISSED BY THE BUSS FAMILY.

And on top of all of that he just recently battled cancer so time could very well be limited.

Imo there's no question that Kareem's been disrespected by the Lakers. When you deal with ego's on this level, both players and the suits, things can get

Anyone else notice also how he's on tv more? Trying to get attention? He's on that Sketchers commercial, and also that Priceline or whatever commercial, maybe more but that's what I remember. All of a sudden he's everywhere..

He was battling cancer for a while.

I think Kareem will get his statue in due time...I honestly believe the fact that he's been battling cancer has kind of put a sense of urgency in him. Just like Jalen said he might think he wont be alive to see that statue.

Give him the statue, and move Wilt's pimp status over:
jadande J.A. Adande
This is wayyyy better than a statue: RT @PamGrier I dated Kareem Abdul Jabbar his first year out of UCLA with the Bucks! He is brilliant!
