Just an unbelievable effort last night. My thoughts:

The Big 5: This is what we were all waiting for. Can we please not have any more stats from the regular season mentioned because only now, in this series, are we seeing Pat's vision on the court. The versatility, activity, and plus rebounding that this lineup provides is remarkable. This unit gelling is going to be huge moving forward. Dallas loves to go small at times, with Barea, Terry, and Kidd all on the court. Well, they might as well shelve that lineup because those guys will be chewed up by the size of Wade, Miller, and LBJ.

Miller: Kenny Smith actually said it perfectly in the post-game last night. Sometimes as a shooter, you can't sit around and wait for the open shot to come to you...You have to find your rhythm even if you have to create on your on and take some contested attempts. Well, Miller was clearly aggressive in the second half last night and hit some of the biggest shots of the year for us. I am really happy for him. MM seems like a real good dude, and has had a brutal season dealing with injuries and tentativeness. And for his performance to come as his newborn daughter is in the NICU is fitting considering all of the other adversity this team has faced on and off the court this year. I know that all Heat fans are wishing his family the best of health.

Bosh Clutch Shooting: Lost in all the other storylines last night was some clutch shooting by CB4. The two jumpers he hit down the stretch in the fourth quarter were tremendous.

Thibs: What is better than Thibs grasping at straws after the game, attempting to blame the officiating. The fact is that Thibs is a poor offensive coach, has not made a single offensive adjustment this entire series, and Rose is not bailing him out like he did during the regular season. To put Derrick in an ISO situation down the stretch against LBJ was just foolish. How about some movement, getting Derrick off the ball and making LeBron work through some screens. No, it is easier to try and blame the officials. The same officials who have swallowed their whistles this whole series as LBJ and DW get hammered going to the basket.

Rose: Bottom line, he is not a PG. He was almost exclusively looking for his all night, forcing the action when it wasn't there and shooting way to many 3's. He is playing with much better talent than LeBron ever did in Cleveland but Rose has consistently failed these entire playoffs to get his teammates involved. What has become clear with Rose is that he is very poor at handling double-teams. He is slow to react to doubles, often forcing things on the bounce and taking bad shots instead of moving the ball. Tim Legler (one of the few voices this year that has been fair in his analysis of the Heat) was all over him for this in post-game on ESPN and I was really glad that someone finally called out the Golden Boy for his mediocre play. 29% shooting last night, while getting owned by LBJ down the stretch, and yet somehow most of the media is still up Derrick's rear. It is amazing how much crap Westbrook is taking nationally for his play recently, while Rose gets a free pass, despite the fact that they are both struggling with the same exact things.

The better team won again
Wade had perhaps the worst game of his life shooting wise and I'm pretty sure he was passing up on shots in the 4th having blown his confidence. That was frightening. His rebounding, blocking and defense showed why he is still a champion.
Bron was fantastic
Bosh was clutch
Bibby did what was necessary
Joel played Joel like
UD gave me some scary moments but the guy is all heart - still not 80% though
Miller - what a hero - with Wade messing up and playing scared O Miller stepped up. Scoring, rebounds and hustle. Makes me so happy that MIAMI haters can be shut up like this. I accept the fact that other teams are gonna hate on us but when I see Miami fans hating on their own it makes me angry.

Miller, Bosh, Joel and Spo step up and raise your middle fingers to those who sould know better. Thank you guys.

LOL!! You deserve to post this kind of stuff after the year you had in this forum... Enjoy!! LOL

And yet right up to G2 of THIS series people have been saying how much better a coach he is than Spo including posters on ths forum. I would say that Spo is every bit the defensive coach that Thibs is and a much better offensive coach. Thibs has wonderful players to coach far better than Spo's until this year.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

TheBillWalton
Like Odysseus slaying Penelope's suitors when he returned to Ithaca, LeBron has driven exploding arrows through the heart of Chicago!

TheBillWalton
Chicago currently looks more overwhelmed than Ned Beatty encountering a pack of unkempt hillbillies in his infamous role in 'Deliverance'.

TheBillWalton
Chris Bosh is a dueling cavalier! What poise, what grace, what simple beauty all contained in a single jump shot! Heat fans are enthralled!

TheBillWalton
Mike Miller's huge performance has me flabbergasted. I haven't been this stunned since Nicolas Cage won an Academy Award for Best Actor.

I have just received official word that some devious Heat fans revived Mike Miller's shot by placing him in the magical Pet Semetary!

One of the most/if not the most exciting/dramatic Heat games I have ever watched. Just a tremendous win on our part. Defense was absolutely stellar. Kudos to all involved, complete team effort last night. GO HEAT

Wow, what a picture. He is barely beginning his ascent at this point...Deng hiding and terrified...Common in the background knows what's coming. There should be a caption contest for this.

I saw this and literally giggled for like 15 seconds straight, that pic is priceless.

When I first saw this I was instantly reminded of the original Terry Tate Office Linebacker commercial where he scared the crap out of the guy that didn't put the can in the recycling bin and reduced him to a quivering mound of flesh and tears. "Woo-Woo the pain train is coming!!"

Luol Deng: I promise I'll recycle next time, just please don't hurt me!
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

I still can't believe people here were calling Miller trash and a waste of Money just days ago. Now, they are praising him.

Miami is becoming the New New York.

Dude has had injury problems his whole career and is notoriously slow in recovery. But, when his game is on, it is on. Glad to see him get back on track. I have been watching him play ball since he first started out with Orlando years ago.
