Score your own draft competition
I am just trying to get a little discussion moving in the forum. So, I thought I'd try setting up a mock draft competition.
Here are the rules.
----------------------------
You must do a mock draft for positions 1 through 12.
For each correct pick you get points. Those points vary by pick as follows.
#1 - 1 point
#2 - 2 points
#3 - 10 points
#4 - 4 points
#5 - 5 points
#6 - 6 points
#7 - 7 points
#8 - 8 points
#9 - 9 points
#10 - 10 points
#11 - 11 points
#12 - 20 points
After the draft come tally your score and we'll see who is the best mock draft guy in the forum!

"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Taking a flyer on some of these because I think otherwise all of these are going to look exactly the same going into the draft. Have Minny shocking everyone and taking Kanter like they said they would yesterday, perhaps a double smokescreen, and since the Jazz get Williams at 3, they take Walker at 12. My gut says swap Kanter and Williams, and I'm hoping to catch an outlier late.

Re: Score your own draft competition
01-Cavs- Derrick Williams (The Cavs take Williams and hope Knight falls to 4)
02-'Sota- Kyrie Irving (Rubio won't ever play in Minnesota, unless he is the visitor)
03-Jazz- Brandon Knight (Torn between Kanter/Knight, the Jazz go with the combo guard)
04-Cavs- Enes Kanter (Cavs take Kanter, and will try to swap him for Irving or Knight)
05-Toronto- Jonas Valanciunas (Toronto loves its foreign players. Val should be a good one.)
06-Wizards- Jan Vesely (It's either Vesely or Kawhi here.)
07-Kings- Kemba Walker (Evan's running mate)
08-Detroit- Kawhi Leonard (BPA)
09-Bobcats- Bismack Biyombo (Just one of many holes to fill in Charlotte)
10-Bucks- Alec Burks (Salmons hasn't panned out, Maggette is getting up there in age)
11-Warriors- Chris Singleton (Cuz I'd love to see the Jazz land him, and that's just unacceptable)
12-Jazz- Do-Mo (BPA With Al on the books for a few more years, the Jazz can stash Do-Mo)
I think at least one of the top 4 picks will be moved, but this is the order I think they'll go in.

Re: Score your own draft competition
JDubJazz's Mock Draft v1.0 (May 26, 2011)
1. Derrick Williams
2. *Kyrie Irving
3. Enes Kanter
4. Kemba Walker
5. Brandon Knight
6. Bismack Biyombo
7. Jan Vesely
8. Jonas Valenciunas
9. Chris Singleton
10. Klay Thompson
11. Kawhi Leonard
12. Jimmer Fredette
Notes: In the end, I think the Cavs will decide they would rather have Williams and either Knight or Kemba instead of Irving and whichever non-PG is left at #4. Minnesota will trade the #2 to a team willing to move up for Kyrie, and the Jazz will be left choosing between Kanter and Kemba/Knight. I think they go with Kanter.
I would love to see Chris Singleton fall to the Jazz at #12, but with his combine numbers, I think he end up being a riser in this draft. Having gone big at #3, the Jazz get Jimmer at #12. I have so many mixed feelings about that, but I think its what will end up happening.

I guess you can edit until the day of the draft.

Maybe you should sticky this. It can be our board's dynamic mock thread.

I know this is gonna make me sound like a total twit, but what does it mean to sticky a thread?
