What about this three way trade.
Hawks get-
Al Jefferson (14mil)
Aaron Brooks (3mil)
Mickael Pietrus (5.3mil expiring)
Hakim Warrick (4.3mil)

Jefferson/Horford/Pietrus/Johnson/Teague
Zaza/Warrick/Crawford/Brooks

Suns get-
Josh Smith (12.4mil)
Kirk Hinrich (8mil)
Marvin Williams (7.5mil)
Raja Bell (3mil)

Gortat/Smith/Hill/Dudley/Nash
Frye/Williams/Childress/Bell/Hinrich

Jazz get-
Vince Carter (18mil exp)
Robin Lopez (3mil)
13th Pick

Kanter/Favors/Haywood/Miles/Harris
Lopez/Okur/Millsap/???/Fredette

Or we can take out Mickael Pietrus and Marvin Williams, if you'd rather keep him. Probably get Raja Bell instead of the Suns getting him.

I really like this trade idea, especially for the Hawks, we get a legit 7 foot center and don't have to give up Horford. :D And yes, let the Marvin for Pietrus deal go on, I would trade Marvin for Pietrus straight up because Mickael is expiring and makes less. Great Trade

Who is the legit 7 foot center?

Come on... Jefferson is no 7 ft legit center at all... and Pietrus is no three at all.
I like both players, but at their correct positions.

If the Suns could get Kanter with the 13th pick and trade it they should sell the franchise. That boy is going to be somethig special. I do not think he will last until then. Probably they could get Biyombo at that spot.

I really believe we should keep both Horford and Smith, get a decent center, keep Teague and Hinrich and, if posible, trade JJ (ideal situation) and Marvin.

If a JJ to Dallas scenario could get us Haywood, besides other players to even salaries, we would have taken a giant step forward.
The only problem that I see in getting a good or at least serviceable center is that he has to be good enough to not eat Horford spaces, should have a decent jumper to open spaces for Horford, Smith penetrations (in a perfect world) and should be a decent passer.
So, Haywood should not be our man. Bogut is that man, but it would take a good player to get Bogut.

Lol. The Jazz have the number 3 pick, and No. 12.

Smith,Hinrich
for
Gasol

Works for both teams:

Lakers get pg and great defender in smith. Exactly what new coach Brown would like to make LAL better defending team

hinrich
bryant
artest
smith/odom
bynum

Hawks finally get a C in Gasol(all star caliber) and save 3-4 mil in contracts, get Teague minutes to start and can resign Crawford with money saved + adding 3 mio for his contact in 6-7 mil range

teague/crawford
johnson/crawford
williams
horford
gasol

we are not trading Hinrich in any deal where he is a add on. we just sent essential 2 first round picks to Wasington for him. besides Horford should be enough to get Pau Gasol. if not we will go another direction.

Not sure that Gasol is ideally a center. His game is very similar to Horford in which they aren't true traditional big man who stay in the paint all the time.

I also don't see Hinrich being a throw in. He doe shave value as a very good defensive guard, whether it is at the 1 or the 2.

I think if Smith and Hinirch are going to LA, then Atlanta needs Bynum in return. They aren't saving money (a good amount since they are still keeping JJ and Marvin) so I don't see the deal being that great for the Hawks.
