Pretty much, plus Klay Thompson.

lol I was actually wondering if you had Klay lumped in with the white people. I know his dad is Mychael Thompson, but he didn't pass much pigment down.

If we go big for the first two picks, I'd love to see someone like David Lighty or Andrew Goudelock picked up at #39. I'm actually more excited about that pick then I am the 1st rounders, I know I'll be disappointed with those, lol.

For me it's SO tempting but that Gooden contract is so ugly and with us just commiting all that money to Tyrus it would make it hard to swallow.

I think he hasn't proven anything. He was injured and barely played at all in college -- not that I put that much stock into NCAA performance, though. Is he supposed to be better than John Wall? As good as John Wall has been, he didn't really improve WAS much. I don't see Irving as an incredible talent and I don't think he will become one of the elite PGs. I think his ceiling isn't high enough given the questions I have about him. I think he'll just end up being another one of the many 13-18ppg/6-8apg low-impact PGs in the league and we have one of those already. Given the many needs this team has, there's no reason to burn a vital draft pick on another one.

Gooden's contract is way too long. Unless Milwaukee is giving us a steal (something like Diop for Gooden, 10, and a future first), I wouldn't even consider the deal. They're stuck with Gooden unless they can do a Lewis/Arenas type swap with another team.

I would probably do that Gooden trade. He's not THAT overpaid, and I actually like him as a player. Counting in Diop's player option, Gooden's contract is only two years longer. That doesn't seem that bad. I don't know how many productive years he has left in him, though. If there is someone at #10 we really, really want but who wouldn't be there at #19, I'd probably go for it.

Here are some updated Mocks from 5/26/11. I think by far my favorite is the one having us get Valanciunas at #9 and Klay Thompson at #19. A couple have us getting Vesely at #9, which would also be nice.

The Gooden #10 trade provides us with two lottery picks we could package to acquire Chris Paul. :)

That Gooden contract is scary though. I'd do the trade under two circumstances:

1. We change our outgoing pick to #39

2. We don't make the trade until #10 comes around and we're absolutely certain we like a guy there. For example, if we're picking 9th and two of Kanter, Burks, Leonard, or Vesely are there, then by all means, go for it.
