Interesting documentary on how this move was made so effective. Cool thing is we have 3 Heat players plus AI in the video. Miami Heat, the kings of crossovers?

Haha I know I was thinking the same thing when I watched it. It's a fantastic vid. Love Wade giving props to Timmy too and agree...the "bing bing" double cross is so much harder to execute at game speed than the hesitation (or hanging) cross

I was in my early 20s when we had The Tim and Zo teams. I tried getting the UTEP 2 Step down for the longest time but damn my hands were/are a little too small since I can just barely palm a ball.

One thing I remember noticing with Tim is the dude had some mitts that helped him with that sick handle of his.

Also. As much as I enjoyed all of the crossovers I liked DWades ability to hit you with a crossover then dunk it on a big. Definitely puts his athleticism and handles at an all time great level for a 2 guard.

TIM HARDAWAY the reason I feel in love with basketball loll this is such an amazing video damn I wish we could have signed Allen Iverson but his ego to be a 6th man was not worth it .

AI has the most vicious and deadliest crossover because he would just break ankles with it all the time. He was so quick and could get anyone on the court at will.

Hardaway though has the best crossover because it was so fluid it was like the ball was a part of his hands. Its more technically sound as a basketball player and would not be confused for a carry like AI's can. Hardaway was so low to the ground and deadly with his pullup 3 off the cross and passes that he was a beauty to watch.

Wade is the most explosive because well because well simply because we all know whats coming after the cross and its a vicious dunk or 360 dunk or some type of highlight finish.

So in conclusion
Wade crosses to finish an opponent, AI crosses to confuse and Timmy just crosses because he can anytime he wanted. On the side.... I remember when Timmy starts crossing the announcers would all start to say oh here comes the patented Timmy cross and everyone would just watch him cross and dribble. Timmy just had the best handles.

Yea, its hard for someone do it with small hands, all the guys with the deadliest crossovers and incredibly handles have huge hands like Wade,Rondo,CP3,Timmy,Iverson,Jordan etc.

I remember trying to do it when I was younger, couldn't really do it, I'd usually just lose the ball when I went forward but I just kept practicing and as I got older i got better and better at it.It's a great move for any guard to have in their arsenal.

Very cool video. Thanks for posting. The amazing thing about Hardaway's crossover is its pinpoint precision. There are no rounded edges, like Iverson's. It's built entirely on sharp angles, which made it so unstoppable.

Messed up that Iverson hung his stardom over Dean like that. But yeah, Timmy's crossover was randanculous; make your heart skip a beat. Makes you wonder why no one ever pressed charges against him for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Crossover.
