If Motiejunas was there at 13 for some reason and we can have the pick AND Lopez I may consider it.

But If we're looking to move Iguodala I'd much rather see if we can get an impact player of the future for him, then look into trading Brand for an expiring at the deadline to a contender.

That deal would make sense in terms of starting from scratch with a clean salary book. But there's no way Rod Thorn would be able to sell that to the fans. Not to mention Doug Collins would walk away from coaching here.

Deng is a better shooter then Iggy. Deng has a mid range game Iggy doesn't. And Gerald Wallace comes off the books in 2 years not 3 years, which is huge. I would take crash over Iggy, even though Iggy and him are the same. Just get out from under Iggys 3 years. And Iggy is a ball dominant player and crash isn't. I think Jrue and ET would play better with crash then Iggy. But this trade really isn't that exciting.

better shooter yes, but only at the midrange.. he is not a 3 point threat, which is something we need at the 3 if turner is going to play the 2 until he shows hes consistant from there

John Hollinger said he could see the Sixers trading Iggy for Kaman, with the Sixers getting some extras.

I am guessing he is thinking about Aminu being included in the trade or possibly a swapping of 1st rounders next year.

I wouldn't mind getting Aminu, but he reminds me of a Thad without as much scoring ability. I actually like Thad's upside more.

considering that Iggy has no long range or mid range game. I will take a mid range game from 18 feet. Rip H has had a great career not having one.

Its the best trade i think that will happen. Teams won't trade away their lottery picks for a bloated salary when the new cap is coming.

I didn't see as much of Aminu as some other young players last year, but if he has legit talent for a SF, I like his length and he + Kaman would be an upgrade for next season. Not optimal (from the Sixers perspective) but it would be an upgrade. Have to hope the Wolves or Cavs love what Iguodala brings enough to make a move for Iguodala for a high pick, but I don't see it. Maybe the Sixers could get some of the Wolves young talent (Johnson, Webster) and their pick in the 20's for Iguodala.

I thought the Clippers had problems playing Brand and Kaman together?

It isn't a perfect match, but for one season it gives the Sixers another center. I would consider that trade more on the potential of Aminu than what Kaman brings for one season.

I didn't like Aminu entering the draft but he proved the weaknesses that I believed him to have weren't nearly as true as I thought. I thought Aminu was a hybrid 4 type with absolutely no handle and an outside shot that would take years to develop. He's an absolute true small forward that can be every bit as good as Luol Deng or Rudy Gay if he puts in the work.

AL Jefferson for Iggy. AL's contract has one less year. He gives us a decent center. Utah can replace him with their 3rd pick. If we can get a Kaman or Jefferson and then resign Hawes for 4m. We will at least have some size. And then with the 16 pick we can just draft the best player.

ET/Meeks/Lou

Jefferson is possibly the most overrated player in basketball. He can't guard anyone at all - not at PF and not at C. He's never been on a winning team in his life and his teams play better when he's not on the floor. He never gets to the line in spite of being a pure post player. He is terrible in transition. He's a classic box score guy - he puts up numbers but when you have him on your team you realize you want nothing to do with him. That's why he'll likely be going to his 4th team this off season and why his teams are not likely to see the playoffs. That being said, he is a post player with a pulse and does put up numbers.

If Aminu is part of the deal involving Kaman for Iguodala i'm down all day on that one. I personally think Aminu (with the right work ethic) can become a lock down defender at the 3/4 position with the ability to defend some guards as well. That alone is a good enough addition along with Kaman, however Aminu has got some potential offensively as well. I expect his outside shooting (mainly from beyond the arc) to drastically improve over the next couple of years the way Dorrell Wrights has. In his rookie year Aminu hit 45-143 (31%) from three. If he improves he could be used the same way San Antonio use to implement Bruce Bowen into their scheme.
With Kaman we get a solid big man for a year and see what happens. Meanwhile Aminu can be yet another injection of youth to our already young team.

lol, if we were to take that Kaman/Aminu deal, I'd still rather flip Kaman for something of long term value...

How about Iguodala + Speights for Oden + Batum ?

Portland inquired about Marreese at the deadline, if I recall. Given the emergence of Aldridge as a bona fide All-Star inside combined with Oden's injury problems, I would think that the Blazers might be willing to do this deal.

Like some have mentioned here, I love Batum's athleticism, length, & upside as a lock-down versatile defender, shooter, & finisher on the break. This kid can guard 3 positions right now, and possibly PF as well down the road when he fills out completely and adds muscle.

Oden's talent & impact is fairly obvious, assuming he stays healthy. He's exactly what the Sixers need at this point.

Curious to hear your thoughts...
