But a lot of wings are really selling out their stuff to scouts and everything, so holding onto 15 someone is sure to fall to the Pacers.

Burks is currently ranked as picks 11 at DX, 10 at NBADraft.net and 13 at ESPN. We pick 15th. I'm not seeing the stretch of imagination in believing he could be there for our selection.

we actually apologized to Granger after his workout for wasting his time because he was so good we didn't think there was a chance he'd fall to us. someone always falls. you just can't guess who until draft night.

It's usually injuries when someone who everyone knows is talented drops.

Like M4E said, injuries. Teams had reservations about his knee.

That's why I could see Kanter as the guy who drops a bit - not probably to us but maybe to the 8-11 range instead of the 3-5 he's usually listed.
Any one else that has had an injury concern who is listed in the top dozen or so?

With the 15th pick how the heck can you have it narrowed down to 4 players? That makes absolutely no sense. Who knows who will be available at the 15th pick. Some players slotted to go earlier will fall and some players slotted to go after will go earlier.

They will have a big board and have most likely a top 50 list and pick whichever player is the highest on the list that matches either; team needs or potential.

Obviously he's going to rate all the talents, but he's just got his eye on 4 guys who are in the range. I don't think this is unreasonable at all.

I'm going to list my top 10 picks for the Pacers. These are guys who could be taken somewhere in between pick 10 and 20.

1.) Bismack Biyombo (this guy is all over mock draft boards so you never know where he could fall)
2.) Tristan Thompson
3.) Alec Burks
4.) Jimmer Fredette
5.) Marcus Morris
6.) Kenneth Faried
7.) Klay Thompson
8.) JaJuan Johnson (I think he rises big time after workouts)
9.) Donatas Motiejunas
10.) Reggie Jackson

I have no read at all on Biyombo as a basketball player, but the descriptions of his athleticism do fit the profile for the kind of player I think the Pacers need to add to their front court. I haven't seen any recent mock draft that still has him available at #15 though. He shot up the charts after everyone saw him play against the US junior national team in the Nike Hoops Summit a few weeks ago.

Saw on Hoopsworld where Steve Kyler reported the Pacers would be willing to trade up to get Jimmer Fredette.

I like him at 15 but if someone wants him higher, I'd let them have him knowing that someone else has dropped a notch.

I'm not sure Fredette would fit here. We have Collison and I would never ever draft Fredette to play at the 2. I think he'd be worth it if we actually trade DOWN. I think he starts becoming a worthwhile pick after 18.

Only Larry Bird :banghead: Hopefully he will leave Tyler's brother, Ben, alone in the second round.

I think Bird is trying to get someone else to drop by conceivably pushing Frederette higher. What if he really wants Kemba? I know he is predicted to go real high, but I think his 5'11" heighth, along with limited pg abilities, assures he will drop around the ten range.
