pretty much this. it's not like we are some 40 win middle of the pack team or something. we ahve a more better chance at contending for the next 4-5 years than his current team.
Ummm.....no we don't. It's going to be harder for us to get back to the Finals. Teams aren't afraid of us anymore, they think they can walk in and beat us on any given night which is something that is different than the past 2 season when we were without a doubt the creme de la creme of the West.
Dallas, Memphis, OKC.
These are the teams we may face on a road to 17 and all three can knock us out. Dallas has already delivered their blows, they've shown they should never be overlooked again as long as their is a 7ft. German shooter on their team. Memphis is an emerging team who beat our adversary SAS without their star player in Rudy Gay. OKC is already looking like a favorite to come out of the West for the next couple of years, experience is only going to make them stronger and that much more impossible to beat.
Outside of Dallas these teams will only get better as the years go on. While we'll continue to get older, slower, and closer to Bynum yes Andrew friggin Bynum being the face of the franchise. You get Howard, pair him up with Kobe and build a championship caliber team around them and not only do you dominate these teams along with the rest of the Western Conference, you dominate the entire league and that includes the Miami Heat.
