Why are there any deals being talked about involving only BLAKE+WALTON as the players we're giving up

idk but they could use some advice. Show them your trade machine so they can see what a real trade looks like.

There's no way we can do a trade featuring just Blake and Luke, idiots.

i have a question, if there is an amnesty clause, could the lakers use it on kobe, then just resign him for the absolute minimum? he'd still get paid what he is owed, it just wont count against the cap.

am i understanding it right, or what?

Nah, if there's an amnesty clause you can use it to waive a player but the said player cannot be re-signed by the team that waives him. Good try though lol

I would seriously look at RIp Hamilton if he's bought out. The Celtics will do the same but we'll have some playing time to offer. He might be a Bull however.

hamilton is very meh. isnt a great shooter, isnt a playmaker and not the defender he once was.

if he wants to sign for the minimum sure, but i wouldnt offer him any more, ie the MLE or its equivalent.

If the deal to net the Cavs the #2 goes through and the Pistons amnesty Gordon, would the Lakers consider signing him to be Kobe's backup?

Considering that Josh Smith is Dwight Howard's best friend (best man at wedding, same AAU team, seen together often in the offseason and even during the playing season....) would you consider trading Bynum to ATL for Smith? You would still have Gasol to offer to ORL for DH. Besides, Howard will go wherever he wishes and ORL will have to facilitate the trade or just lose him.

You'd be ever so much more athletic. Smith is tough against Dirk.

And if you got Howard...

yeah, no way in hell i would trade bynum for smith, i dont care what Howard likes.

and if all orlando could get for dwight was gasol, theyd just let him walk. would they rather be a lottery team, or a perenial 6/7/8th seed with 30 year old Gasol as their anchor? i think the answer is obvious.

i absolutely would. part of the MLE to him, and part of it to Kmart. then sign tmac for the minimum!

I'd take Hamilton for the vet min, T-Mac too ... I'd also give Gordon part of the MLE along with K-Mart ... but ... I'd rather give part of the MLE to Delonte West ... love that little head-case, hahaha.

As for Bynum to the Hawks ... MAYBE, just maybe for J-Smooth, Teague, Zaza and their #1 ... and that would ONLY be if we could really get Dwight and Bass for Pau and Odom which is a big "if".

yeah i dont care for smith at all, but if teague was included, that would really make me contemplate it. he's gonna be a very good PG for the next few years, not elite imo, but very good.

shockingly, some atlanta fan on the T&T board is interested in a Gasol--Horford swap, which i would do SOOO fast.
