Jason Goff:Bulls to go after Eric Gordon.......????

Post#1 » by JOHN » Sun May 29, 2011 1:14 pm

http://chicago.cbslocal.com/show/670-the-score-interviews/#

Go to Jason Goff interview on May 27.Somewhere after the 9 min mark he said aid he's been hearing the name of Eric Gordon as a possible shooting guard for the Bulls.

Gordon and Rose were teammates in the past.
Remember remember the 1st of April.......

If he's been "hearing" it, then it's been from fans such as the occasional posters here who don't pay any attention to the likely fact that we don't have the pieces to get Gordon if he were available or wouldn't part with them if we did.

We're going to hear a lot of things, doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Goff seems like a nice guy who is truly passionate about the Bulls, but the dude doesn't seem to be a reliable source for anything. Just made up rumors to get the casual, unaware fan excited.

Who knows? It's STERLING. And we have UNGUARANTEED contracts. Perhaps our unguaranteed trio of Bogans, Lucas and Pargo will do the job.

Well, they did just trade the #1 pick in the draft just so they can save a few dollars

What a joke of a franchise

Well he's in the locker room every game, and has access to Garpax.

Eric Gordon would be a great addition.

To be fair, they traded a pick likely to be #10 or so to upgrade from Baron Davis to Mo Williams which is a considerable talent and age upgrade going forward. They ended up getting screwed by that move, but I thought it was a nice trade for them at the time. It just goes to show why you always put protection on the pick.

He would definitely be a great complement to Rose as another ballhandler and secondary scorer. I could probably live with the small backcourt due to Gordon's immense talent. Big problem though is that he is not going anywhere. The Clippers are going to build around him and Griffin.

let the fantasy trades begin:

I was looking at this and the only way it makes sense using the trade checker to me at least u trade for Kaman and Gordon and send them Asik, Korver, Brewer,& Watson. The reason this makes sense is both Kaman and Gordon have year left and going forward u only extend Gordon and either let Kaman walk or give a smaller contract to play behind Noah. I think u might need to add some draft picks to this deal but I think that is the way to go...it makes it easier letting Asik go.

I just can't see the clippers doing this...why give up on Gordon the kid is really good. Unless Gordon has made it known to management that he will not sign with them and feels Griffin won't sign either going forward. That would be the only reason this discussion makes sense.

I had nothing against the deal in general, but not putting protection on the pick IS a rather serioius mistake. As the Knicks about that one. When push comes to shove, I find a hard time believing the deal doesn't get done if it's top three (or top two) protected in the first year.

Atleast the rumors have moved from the OJ Mayo's and Courtney Lee's to the Dwight Howards and Eric Gordon's...

That seems promising.
