Post#1 » by pacersfan1967 » Mon May 30, 2011 1:03 am

I was watching on you tube of reggie miller during the pacers vs knicks playoff games 94 season..I think if paul george gets into the starting line up .He can be like a reggie miller...I do like his aditude during a loss came back to practice in the night at conseco...But it dawned on me when I was watching thge old games in the 90"s could this be paul george in a few years be a another pacers knick rivalry...

George will be good, but I don't seem him as a player that takes a game over by himself (even though he already tries). He will be a player that makes a lot of great defensive plays in his career that will change the pace of the game. Before comparing him to Reggie, i'd like to see him get his %'s, specifically 3 pt % back up. I know he can shoot, but once it's consistent, he'll be able to pull up or kill them off the fake or dribble.

he's capable of taking over a game, just needs to develop more and get more accustomed to NBA defenses.

He'll be a more complete player than Reggie. Hell, Granger is a more complete player than Reggie, even with the glaring holes in his game.

I just care about Paul George doing well. In terms of impact on the franchise, George can be really, really special.

The end of this season showed us that we are hopefully well past being mediocre/non-factor etc.
Hopefully Pauls continued development is a big step to making Indiana relevant again.

You're forgetting one thing: George has no offense yet...
We'll see next year if he gets ISOs or more open shots

no offense? from my seat I saw plenty of offense and a rookie willing to defer to the veterans. I'm sure the offense will be there when the green light gets turned on for him.

He's a better Defensive player than Reggie (Obviously.)
I think he's capable of a few 24ppg,6.8rb,5.7ast,2.1st,1.3blk games. (A Mini Andre Iggy or hopefully better).
I think he has the potential to be a better player than Reggie.

But you also have to admit that Reggie was a DAMN good and a unique player.
His work ethics sets him up to be one of the best ever. Clutch/FT% and of course 3's were his strengths. (All 3 can be learned from working hard daily, just like reggie)

He has a long ways to go before he can even be mentioned in the same sentence as Reggie but it's def possible.

Good Day.
