The big assumption has been that the Lakers with all their flashbulb opportunities would be where Howard lands, but ESPN’s Ric Bucher said in a chat Friday that doesn’t look like the case at the moment.

Lakers have slipped on Dwight’s list for reasons beyond (Bynum being “untouchable”). I’d rank his preferences in this order: Orlando, Dallas, NJ, Lakers. But for Orlando to keep him, they’re going to have to make some serious deals, ones that I’m really doubtful they can pull off.

Bucher is clueless.

If Dwight has Orlando #1 than he can just end all the speculation and sign the extension they have on the table ... he hasn't and that leads me and everyone else to believe he is ready to bolt. Even if the "amnesty clause" comes in and the Magic can scratch Arenas out, they still are stuck with Hedo, two average PF's, a no-defense aging PG and basically nothing at the SG position ... that team is not built to win a title in the next decade. Do they think they can land a star by trading the rights to Fran Vasquez? Hahahahaha.

And ... Dallas ... Dallas? Give me a break. I don't think Orlano is going to be interested in dealing Dwight for Roddy, Domninique Jones and a re-signed Tyson Chandler do you? Dallas would have to trade Dirk, Roddy, Nique and Chandler for Howard and Hedo and what would that mean? It would mean the Mavs would suck!

And .... New Jersey .... New Jersey? The Nets won't even make the playoffs next year! They could trade Lopez sure but he is no Bynum and something tells me Dwight would find playing with Kobe, Pau, Odom and Artest a little bit more promising than playing wioth Deron William and a bunch of trash ... or, perhaps he's just waiting to see if Kris Humphries re-signs to make his move to Jersey and get to check out Kimmy K every game ... I don't think so.

Trading Nowitzki for Howard is too dramatic of a change for a franchise that is trying to win a title right now.

Bucher is Moron. His comments make good headlines...nothing beyond. He is a joke in the industry IMO.

Bucher butchers everything

Kobe will not play for the Lakers past 2007-2008.
LeBron will stay in Cleveland

PLEASE say there is NO CHANCE of Dwight coming to LA. PLEASE.

BTW: Dwight & CP3 are the Melo and D-Wil of 2011-2012.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Wait a min...Bucher was the one that tweeted "Dwight to the Lakers" wasnt he the one to "break" that story? Was he dumb, stupid and cluless then? or is it because now the Lakers aren't (were never) the favorite?

Another question when and where did Bucher even get that list? Did Dwight give him that list as possible destinations? Because I dont remember a list of teams coming out of his mouth.

A better question would be why are you even here when you know all the answers to those questions? I take it you're just trying to be a butt.

Congrats you get to keep your franchise player, there's no spite because we're still the Lakers with or without Dwight. Stop trying to beat a dead horse.

dwight had best be watching miami clown on dallas, cos being in orlando being overshadowed by south beach bandwagoners is the closest he'll come to a championship if he stays in orlando

Obviously. A list of teams on paper coming out of his mouth would be gross. I'd wonder why he felt the need to ingest such a list in the first place. Fiber perhaps...

Ahhh, gotta love how Dwight is playing this ... he's playing the good guy while basically telling the Magic, "ya'll better improve to title level now or I'm bolting and leaving you with nothing in the offseason' ... wow.
