I knew letting Lou go was gonna be the death knell of this last year's team. Kinda unreal if you think about it.

Well I think many Suns fans got to witness first hand what an elite bench can do for a team. Having a bench that can hold a lead every single night and even extend a lead on most nights is possibly the most underrated portion of NBA basketball from a fans perspective.

I didnt even see this before now, dont know how I missed it in the thread. That is an absolutly great Video Rsavaj!!!! Really helps me realize what an untapped resource we have waiting to get a good extended chance to show whats really up. People around these boards calling Chills contract a negative one dont know the back story of injury and mis-use. It also would really bolster Los Soles theory on putting great defenders on the floor. He is cat quick, great defender, sees the game, and CAN GET HIS SHOT OFF.... what we thought we were missing. I had forgotten how quick he was, and now know he can man the Sg. spot for us. Steve, Chill, Duds or HIll, draft Biyambo, Gortat. get rid of VC and Peaches and Brooks, hopefully for something useful and I like it. Frye would be better as a change of pace shooter off the bench not to mention Lopez will come in with something to prove.

Why I've been agitating for using Chilly at the 4, in a Marion-style capacity. If Grant comes back as we expect he will, he needs to be leading the 2nd unit.

We start Nash, Duds, The Gortat, Chilly and The Big To Be Named Later. (Ideally I'd like to see Duds on the 2nd unit, just in hopes of recreating our old Dirt Workers lineup. It's one short of the four out we desire, but Chilly brings a lot of other things, just like Trix did. I sure hope he's hired a shooting coach for the summer. If he developed even half decent three .....

Believe it or not, I think the team needs offense more than defense. We already have many defenders. Pietrus, Dudley, Childress, Hil, Gortat, and Frye are all prettay good defenders. We have big-time holes in our offense. If our offense is firing on all cylinders, a "passable" defense headed by those 5, 6 guys is enough.



We need to get to a situation where its; "I trust my guys to make their shots more than I trust your guys to, and now that I have a guy (Gortat) to rebound your misses, there's no way you're beating us."

I get where your coming from, but I think we need a forward who can defend his own man but also put the ball in the basket. Guys like Tyrus Thomas could be a very good fit for this team. Chris Singleton might have to be our pick, let's see how this draft goes!

I can only hope that this is true. My only problem is the Suns are truly going to have to overhaul this roster. The Suns keep using the word "retool". How can the Suns do this if they are forever in retool mode? They conflict with each other IMO.

Great teams (Spurs are an example) are constantly retooling.. They very rarely need to rebuild. At least, to they capacity that the Warriors, Clippers, Wolves etc rebuild anyway.
