What are your picks?
So, who would you like to see as the Jazz's picks in the draft?
For me:
#3: Kanter (Unless either Williams or Irving is available)
#12: Kinda of unsure about this one. Burks if available. Then Jimmer.
If we go with Knight at 3, I still think we should draft a small at 12 unlesse Byiombo is available.

What a novel idea for a thread...
Irving at #3 and Dwight at #12. Game over!

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Yeah. I wish we had a draft thread. But since we don't...

Only saw it now.

Please lock, mods.
BTW, you guys are way too sensitive about this things. Just wanted to hear people's opinion on the draft.

Re: What are your picks?
I could say Irving at #3 and Williams/Kanter at #12
But realistically:
Knight at #3
Motiejunas at #12
Or (depending on the workout) high risk picks:
Kanter at #3
Jimmer at #12

3. Kanter, then Knight
12. Motiejunas, then Burks, then Thompson, then Singleton, then Jimmer.
I'm softening my stance a bit on Jimmer, but I'd say he's about #18 on my list of best players, wouldn't be surprised if he's gone before we pick though.

Re: What are your picks?
Kanter/Singleton
or
Knight/Singleton
And I'd be happy...... If one of the Euro big men happens to fall to us at 12, and we take Knight with the 3rd pick, I'de be happy too.......

Really? Do you think his combine numbers helped him out that much, or is it a hunch he'll go to a specific team?

My guess is he's pretty damn impressive in work outs. With news coming out of Indiana that he made over 80% of his three's while he was there, it has to seem like he just never misses when you see him in person. From his interviews you can also see that he's a pretty bright kid, so I am sure he impresses the coaches and GM's he talks with as well.
I think back to guys like Shelden Williams who get crazy promises really high, or Ekpe Udoh who seemed like quite a reach to me, or Gordon Hayward who I am guessing also impressed with his attitude and probably a hot shooting workout, and Jimmer just seems like that kind of guy. A little older than the rest of the guys in the draft, but smart, has obvious NBA skills, and isn't going to be a headache for anyone in the organization, has potential as a locker room leader.
I could easily see a team that has ball dominant off guard like Sacramento really thinking Jimmer could fit in with their scheme and taking a flier on him. Especially considering the nuttiness they are going to have to deal with in Cousins for the next while, bringing a nice guy in who will do what is asked of him might be just what the doctor ordered.
Milwaukee would be a good fit too, hoping to get a poor man's Michael Redd, and of course you never know with GSW.
He just gets such mixed reviews everywhere he goes, if someone thinks he's Mark Price 2.0 why wouldn't you draft him in the top 10?

Right. I suppose a team could see him being a primary facilitator in the NBA in a few years; I just don't personally see that as being very likely. Then again, it would also seem a difficult transition for him becoming an off the ball spot up shooter. He really is a tough one to peg, but I find myself rooting for him to do well.
I just hope the Jazz don't waste a good pick on him. But that's coming from someone who didn't see the wisdom of the Hayward pick at the time. I'd have taken George.
