Keep overvalueing your players. Obviously you're going to like Gortat because he's the only player on your team that can rebound...Jared Dudley is Ryan Gomes part 2 and Aaron Brooks is a 5'10 gunner.
Some of the proposed trades I just read from you guys are even more deliousional then the initial trade I proposed last night!!! Really with the VC and Lopez for Garnett? Really???? hahahaha.

And for the idiot who tried countering with Wes Matthews vs Ray Allen stats, Ray shot 49% from the field 44% from 3 and 88% from the FT line. so double check YOUR STATS can get a life you donkey

Likewise. Keep overvaluing your players, but we aren't trading our players for ten cents on the dollar. Why don't you go to the Hawks board and ask for Al Horford for the same trade you mentioned here, since he puts up slightly better numbers than Gortat. I think you can sell them hard on Big Baby...

Don't forget the celtics are OLD and aging. pretty soon they'll be at the #9 #10 spot. as for the trade, the suns would never trade dudley or gortat.
ddb wrote:Alright. Well enjoy being the # 9 or 10 team in the west for another season before Steve Nash leaves or retires and you're left with a team stuck in the lottery.

To rebuild you need to trade players that have value ala Gortat and Dudley. I get what you're saying about Gortat and Dudley. They're good players. But they aren't going to win you many games. They aren't all-star caliber players and never will be. Face the facts.

I'd trade Nash while he has value, I'd deal 1 of your bigs (Gortat, Lopez, Frye) and I'd try to acquire as many draft picks and expiring contracts as possible because there's not a chance in hell the Phoenix Suns will be a contender again for a long time.

wow, bit of a flame-fest

hopefully it won't prejudice reception of the following

I wrote up a post on the Boston board a few weeks ago, the gist of which was Rondo, J O'Neal for Nash, Gortat

it is a bit lengthy, i'd appreciate it if you took a look and put in your two cents

cheers

I'd consider this trade. I like Glen Davis too, he's a big hustler and seems to have a fire and passion for basketball. Avery was a good defender if my memory serves me correctly, and I think Jermaine would be a good expiring for us. But.. then, you have to look at the down side - Gortat. Gortat is one of the best big men in the league. He combines rebounding, some O, and a lot of D to the table. He's not worth giving up. I like Peaches, but you can have him I guess. He's not a huge game changer and he has a tendency to chuck, but he's serviceable. Brooks? You're just getting silly.

Well.. I'll pass.

If the "value" being offered for Dudley, Brooks and Gortat is Jeff Green and a pile of trash (because in reality, Bradley, a 25th pick in a terrible draft and a late lotto pick is pretty much trash) then we're just fine keeping our players. Hell, we aren't even the one's that wanted to trade them in the first place, if anything Gortat/Dudley/Frye are probably the only three "untouchables" on this roster right now. Even Nash is more likely to get traded than those three, and you come in here offering us a burning pile of grabage for our three most valued assets and then ask us why we're mad?

To top it all off, you tell us to be happy being a 9-10th best team and what not.... just gtfo and go back to your Celtic boards if thats your attitude man.

Have fun being Miami's breakfast for the next 2 seasons.

I would do it. High risk move because Ainge would clearly be banking on going all in for banner 18 with an aging team of Nash, Ray, Pierce, KG, Gortat. BUT he's sticking to his plan of clearing all cap space for 2012 which is when Boston could then afford to sign BOTH DHoward and CP3 to joing Green and Pierce.
The risk in that is if he fails to bring those guys in....Then Rondo is gone and it's time to go into an all-out rebuilding phase which could be pretty painful.
But a team of Nash, Ray, Pierce, KG, Gortat with West, Green, Baby, Krstic would be pretty damn good.

Great. Then the Suns would probably go another 10 years without a legit center. Wonderful.

Yeah, really. As talented as Rondo is, there are so many good point guards coming into the league and IMO are much easier to find than an above average center. Plus I think that Rondo is significantly better in Boston's system than having Gortat and Nash. At this point I'd rather talk about a deal for just Nash than anything including Gortat.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I wouldn't do this deal but at least it's semi-reasonable

OP's proposal is just one of the worst ideas I have heard this year, and I have heard many ridiculous things this year

No to any of these deals. I see no reason to trade the Gortat. NONE.

DDB needs to realise they sold the farm with not re-signing Tony Allen and then trading Perk. Celtics are gone. Gortat will be more than capable of becoming an All-Star. Knicks will move past the C's next year. Real GM, where one team's trash is sold as another team's treasure.
