NBA Finals 2011 Discussion Thread

Post#1 » by Miklo » Wed Jun 1, 2011 7:53 pm

I hate to create a new thread this late in the Playoffs but the other one reached 100 pages and I don't want the internets to turn off.

Eff Miami. I'm shocked honestly to see them in the finals this soon. Many people guessed that the starting PG, starting C and bench situation would hurt them more than it has.

Dirk tore a tendon in a finger in his non-shooting hand. Cause for concern? I hope not. Dallas didn't shoot very well in game one. If they can come back and shoot a better percentage from the field, I could see them stealing game 2 heading back to Dallas.

At least I hope that's how it happens.

Go Mavs!

Dallas didn't play well and miami played about as well as they can - that bodes well for the mavs, if they can get their offense back.

Funny how even a team with two superstars and a pretty good forward still have to play defense to win ...... hmmmmmmmmmm

if the Suns can get into the mid to top third of the league defensively, they'll cause real trouble next year.

I'm not a fan of the Dallas Mavericks but I really want to see Dirk Nowitzki get a championship ring. He deserves it.

Dallas will not shoot that poorly again. Miami shooting that poorly is much more "normal" for them than Dallas shooting that poorly is.

NBa is a start driven league. Lebitch and Dwade will get their calls.

Yeah but Miami plays better defense than anyone Dallas has played in the playoffs so far. I think some credit is due to Miami for forcing them into bad/contested shots.

I don't really care who wins. I'm rooting for Dallas, but if the Heat win, so be it. The Suns can then trade Nash, Childress, and Warrick for Kidd and Terry. :D

Dallas was getting wide open shots all the time, they just werent going down. Not giving too much credit to Miami's D on that front.

Fishi, the game was just sloppy and ugly. Missed shot after missed shot, untimely horrible whistles (that werent reflected in shooting FT stats because so many of the bad calls were non-shooting fouls).....was very close until the last couple minutes.

Dallas has a great shot, they just need their shots to fall. If Dirk's finger is bothering him though, this series is done.

Tas, the worst part of Miami winning this year is that all the guys are going to start ring-chasing.

Miami is the best team in the Nba this season. I can't see Dallas even pushing it to 6 or 7 games.

hope the mavs will win, realy like marion and dirk ( ha, we germans made it to the finals - where the new zealanders at?? - just kidding ) - and i realy hate what the heat players did -- lebron should have come to phx and play with a great pg instead of playing with dwade..

Props to the great one

Tonight's refs are Joey Crawford, Ed Malloy, and that convicted criminal Ken Mauer. Get ready for a whistlefest. These guys blow their whistle more than that **** "rap" song from like 5 years ago.

Amazing comeback. Can't believe Dallas missing all the shots in Game 1 and all the turnovers in Game 2. Unacceptable.

Marion is the MVP so far. Amazing.

I hope Marion wins 1...

however it would be ironic and surreal... considering it was the Mavs who got on the Suns way to the finals back in 2006...

These finals game are intense. I'd probably have a heart attack if we ever got that far.
