Of course i exclude from that debate Irving, as he is probably out of reach for Jazz.
Yesterday i've heard few interviews and many peps where saying that Williams is not 3 but 4 and he got skills/size exactly for that position. Its not that he cant play as sf but is not what he should do for most of time on floor. Majority of JazzFans were sold to Williams but as sf, and eventually he may be less useful than Sap on that position.
Im definitely not Williams fan but objectively i can see that he is very skilled, although after interviews, and that what i wrote above i dont now if he is best option for Jazz, at this point im more sold on picking Kanter than Williams.
What are your opinions on this subject assuming that he really is pf not sf.

I don't think he's a better prospect than Millsap. I would take Valanciunas.

If he truly isn't able to transition to sf, then I'd rather pass on him.

I'm leaning towards Kanter at this point.

It all comes down to Kanter or Knight. Irving and Williams will be gone. I really don't mind Kanter but I am still leaning towards Knight. I think that they both have questions about their game and although it is difficult to compare two completely different players I think that they are on the same level as far as potential goes, as long as knight grows into his body a bit more as kanter has clearly grown in to his. That being said, if the Jazz FO agrees that their value is or could be similar Im sure they will take knight. Drafting him fills a greater need than Kanter does and would cause a lot less problems with the looming frontcourt questions that already exist.
But what do I know. If they think that their is no comparison and Kanter blows knight out of the water then they will pick Kanter without question and deal with the frontcourt issues later.

In my opinion he is a close third behind Irving and Kanter at this point.

Re: Is Williams best possible thing for Jazz in that draft
And one more thing, on interviews Williams said that he will do any thing to convince peps that he can play as sf, and after that he quit from shooting drills
Imo also now Kanter is the most likely pick, Knight may even look as better prospect but is well known fact that is much harder to find skilled big than skilled guard.
Plus Kanter is nice guy, after this season which he missed playing and he is still in great shape we may be sure that he know how to work hard, and at the end- Memo, i assume he is his idol, Okur may newer be in very good shape, but last season he play really great, on both ends, if he could pass his knowledge in fast way to Kanter that would mean his last year contract is not about throwing money to mud

I sort of had the same thought about Memo being a good mentor for Kanter. If Enes combined a good defensive game with Memo's talents on offense he would be an incredible player. God, I miss seeing Memo play....But, hopefully he can contribute off the bench, I just don't know where the minutes would come from.

I was really high on him coming into the combine and the draft but I've really started to cool off on him. I like Kanter more and I might even put Biyombo and Vesley ahead of him.

I think Irving is the best possible fit. I think he and Favors are a perfect match.

Re: Is Williams best possible thing for Jazz in that draft
The number one thing the Jazz need is a vocal leader and scorer. The Jazz are a team of quiet lead-by-example guys. That just doesn't cut it. You have got to have the guy willing to get in his teammates face when he screws up and who is willing to be the go-to guy with the game on the line. He doesn't have to be a jerk about it (Deron Williams), but he needs to be able to be that guy.I don't know if we find that guy at #3 or at #12, or via trade, but that is the guy the jazz DESPERATELY need.
If Derrick Williams is that guy, then the Jazz should draft him. If Brandon Knight or Jimmer Fredette is that guy, then they should be Jazz targets. I'm not sure I see that from Kanter, and I haven't seen enough of Irving to know about him either.

I also believe that Derrick Williams and Paul Milsap are complementary players, and would play well together.
Unfortunately, the price of moving up to #2 seems to be very high, and I don't think the difference between Kanter and Williams justifies that high of a price.
