He's been sheer comedy at these press conferences. Asking Stern about the stopping of "colluding" of "super-friends". Just sounds like a bitter old man. His tears are delicious.

I agree. Us Heat fans require more sustenance. More tears you bitter old fool!

This guy is such a loser. So many media personalities are trying to capitalize on this team being unliked by trying to appeal to the masses with these types of articles. It's so sad.

Where are the people that were mocking my quote now? I see the tears coming but it's too little too late. Should have started sooner!

The joke's on them. They don't realize that Lebron and Wade feed off the tears of lesser mortals. In fact, Wade's basically healed his left shoulder by rubbing the tears of haters on it at night before he goes to sleep.

Ironic that the sweetest tears come from those who spewed the most venom at this team.

Wasn't he the guy that had that "how can you hate the heat" article a week or so ago? Like "How can you hate these guys..theyre so entertaining and selfless"

Yeah, he's kind of a clown. Also a hypocrite, considering he abandoned SI for ESPN (and the money).

I've never enjoyed Reilly, if you've ever read his columns (used to always be on the back page of SI issues) he always came off as one of those guys that tries to be controversial just to get people to read him. He's all fluff, there's no real substance to what he writes.

This thread should have been "Desperation kicking in for Westbrook36"
"Don't let other people tell you what you want."

Did anyone watch the press conferences today? I think LeBron has read Rick Reilly's articles.

During the media session Rick Reilly asks LeBron "What makes Pat Riley cool?" and LeBron just stares at him blankly and makes him repeat the question 2-3 times and then says yeah he's cool with no elaboration and a blank face. Seemed like he didn't want to give him a quote.

Or maybe I'm just reading into it and it was a coincidence. ;o

This. Jeff Van Gundy said it perfectly yesterday, all Lebron has ever done wrong in his basketball career is the decision (in most people's minds). And now every one wants to sit around and criticize this guy for simply choosing the better career path after his current contract ran out. No one else would want to be stuck in a job they didn't want but apparently NBA players are suppose to so that local fans can stave off depression and live through them.

It's not just you. I don't think Bron like Reilly, and decided to play dumb on that question. It was a stupid question anyway. It's a Finals presser and he asks a non-basketball question about Riley. Ugh. PEACE.

Can someone post a quick recap of what he said? I don't want to give this hack any page views.

Basically he said he's rooting for Dallas to win then lists about 20 individual sentences telling you why you should too. They all start with "Pull for Dallas because":

1. "Pull for Dallas because " ... blah blah blah cry cry sniff sniff.
.
.
.
.
20. "Pull for Dallas because " ... still crying still sniffling.

Really, totally pathetic. Does that crap even count as an article? It's just a bunch of sentences

Even other reporters laugh at this clown

LeBron and Dwyane Wade - the Biggest 2 of the Big 3 - were separately ushered off to an interview room, where this revealing exchange took place:

Rick Reilly of ESPN: "What makes Pat Riley cool?"

LeBron: "Huh?"

Reilly: "What makes him cool, Pat Riley?"

LeBron: "What do you mean 'cool'?"

Reilly: "I was wondering, in your opinion, what makes him cool? Do you think he's cool?"

LeBron: "He's cool. There you go."

Yes, large corporations fly some of us to big events and put us up in nice hotels and pay for good meals so LeBron James can tell the world Pat Riley is "cool."
