Odds are that Rudy is better than anything you'd get from a top 4 pick anyway, even a couple years down the road. Hell, we don't even know how close to his peak Rudy is.
The only way this could possibly make sense is if the NBA enforces a Draconian set of rules re. the salary cap. If there's a hard cap, then yeah, it might make sense, but other than that it doesn't make any sense at all.

What you just said, still doesn't even do justice.

Game 4, when OJ hit that 3 ball, next play saves the play by hitting it off Harden's head, then hits another clutch 3. It gave me goosebumps when it happened, and I still get goosebumps thinking about it right now. When he realizes his potential.

Game over for the NBA.

I am telling Bird is going after OJ hard this off season. I wouldn't put it past him to offer 2 first round picks for him.

I can't see the Pacers getting rid of George for Mayo. I think its totally made up.

WTH would the Grizz want with Bargs? Barbosa I wouldn't mind, but no Bargs at the cost of Rudy.

I was intrigued about getting Paul george, barbosa, and bargnani for gay + mayo... but then I saw Xavier Henry also goes out. not gonna happen. no freaking way. We traded the most popular Grizzlies player at the time, captain of the team, first ever memphis draft pick Shane Battier for Rudy gay. Rudy Gay is our franchise player. You'd have to offer a hell of a lot more.

There is no way that Bird trades PG for Mayo.

Paul george would be for Henry. Mayo is a star player. George is a role player.

Is that why you tried to trade him for McBob and a first round pick. George is not a role player.

If I were confident that Josh McRoberts could handle the center position I would go after him at a low cost. He's fairly smart and reliable, battles hard defensively, and is a decent passer for his size. But I don't know if he has played center before. Maybe a Pacers fan can tell us.

As for George, I don't see Indianna trading him for OJ Mayo. The Pacers drafted the guy and certainly aren't going to deal him after one rookie season, just like Memphis will likely want to see another year of development from Henry before making any decisions about the future.

Remember that the Pacers were into the Mayo deal because they didn't have to give up much to get him. Now if you're adding in George it changes everything. Although one could say that Mayo's value was as low as it could get at the time and he redeemed himself with a nice string of games in the playoffs.

.

Pacer fans think that he could play center if he added more weight (10lb). HE has played spot minutes at the center position but for the most part there was no need for him to play backup center because the Pacers had Foster.

Gay to the clippers for foye gomes and their unprotected minni pick in next years draft... clears a lot of space up to bring Gasol back and re sign battier, while adding depth to the bench..

The only way something like that would happen is if the team started the season 10-30 or something.

Ha Ha Ha, good attempt to crack me up with this suck.

How about this in your logic,

Blake Griffin to Memphis for Hamed Haddadi, Leon Powe, Ish Smith and Xavier Henry?

I think Grizzlies give too much. right?

Hey guys, Bulls fan here... just wanted to say great end to your season. Was totally rooting for you guys in the West.

Anywho, was wondering what you thought about the following trade:

OJ Mayo

for

Kyle Korver
Omer Asik
#28 (2011 First Round Pick)

Basically, you'll get a legit backup C.. he's cheap and is improving a lot. Korver could provided scoring off the bench with Mayo gone, and you'd also land an additional first round pick. This could also allow Xavier Henry into the rotation if wanted.

Thoughts?

Well...I like Asik. Not too wild on the idea of Korver, but he could definitely provide some needed perimeter shooting. Still though, I'm not too sure he fits in with what the Grizzlies are trying to get done from the perimeter players (toughness, defense and rebounding).
Personally I would consider doing this (although there are some better offers that have come up in this thread, that Ben B. deal was pretty tasty).
Also would the Bulls front office just give away their backup C like that? Realistically, who else do you have to play there?

If it meant getting a legit starting SG in return, I think the Bulls would deal. We have Noah, and would have another 1st round (if wanted to use on a C). Plus there are a few decent options for a vet FA C we could pickup. I think the Bulls would do the trade.
