Using Every player, Make the best current and all time teams
Current:
QB: Rodgers
RB: Peterson, Chris Johnson
FB: Neal
C: Mangold
G: Sitton, Evans
T: Thomas, Long
TE: Davis, Finley
WR: Megatron, Andre Johnson, Fitz, White, Brandon Lloyd
DL: Ngata, Raji, Suh
OLB: Matthews, Ware
ILB: Willis, Lewis
CB: Tramon Williams, Asomough
Safety: Nick Collins, Polamalu
Defense is a 3-4 obviously you'd have different players in a 4-3. I'm not knowledgable enought to do an All-Time team but I'm interested in seeing what you guys come up with.

Chris Carter? WTF? He couldn't hold Calvin Johnson's jock strap, or Andre Johnson, or Larry Fitzgerald. He can't even beat the current players! lol
Ed Too Tall Jones??? Over Suh? HAhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahAH

I'm very hesitant to pt current players on my All-time list, I kind of would like to see them play out their careers before I put them on the greatest roster of all time. After ONE season Suh is already the greatest DT of ALL TIME!?!?!?!

Re: Using Every player, Make the best current and all time t
I didn't say that, I just said that it's laughable to compare Ed Too Tall Jones to him. There's no way to prove this, but if there is an afterlife out there where all our questions can be answered, all I'm saying is you can have Ed Too Tall Jones and I will have Suh, and comparatively I promise he will kick Ed's ass, it's a non-comparison, one is just a man, the other is a man's man. Suh would throw Jones around like a ragdoll if they were competing directly against each other.

Re: Using Every player, Make the best current and all time t
I'm sure in the long run Suh will go down as one of/if not the greatest DT of all time, but as of right now he hasn't done enough for me to warrant putting him on the all-time NFL team... yet

Re: Using Every player, Make the best current and all time t
That argument makes no sense. This is a football game in theory, and just cause Suh doesn't have the experience doesn't mean he wouldn't outperform Too Tall Jones. You dont need him to play to prove that, you just need reasonable logic in order to see that the inference is obvious. So game on, who wins, you clearly pick Too Tall Jones, and I say the rookie Suh kicks the crap out of him and if/when that scenario plays, then you will just get embarrassed for picking a scrawny 270 pound beanpole against a legit monster football talent in a stud's body. Too Tall Jones had all the experience and is a HOFer, but he still couldn't make the Bronco's roster. I'll take Kevin Vickerson all day and still win that matchup LOL

Re: Using Every player, Make the best current and all time t
I'm not building a roster to compete against modern team, I made a roster of the best players at the respective positions. Ed Jones had an amzing career versus a guy who has only played one season. What happens if Suh has a career ending injury on the 1st play of the regular season? I highly doubt you will hear anyone make an argument that Suh should be a HOF/all-time roster player after only playing one season. If Suhs follows his path I have no doubt he will be up there but as of right now Ed Jones has put in his years and did his thing so he deserves his due.

LOL at the amount of Packers in your current best players list. Tramon Williams is good, but there is no one who would take him over Darrelle Revis. Your list isn't worth taking seriously because you obviously are biased towards players on your team.
Also you put Bruce Matthews in your list twice.

Tramon is thrown at more but they have almost identical coverage stats percentage wise.
Add that Tramon is also a willing contributor against the run and I don't understand your objection.
Williams: 16 games, 792 Coverage Snaps, 123 targets, 56 receptions allowed, 6 interceptions, 1 sack, 55 tackles
Revis: 13 games, 592 Coverage Snaps, 67 targets, 28 receptions allowed, 0 interceptions, 0 sacks, 32 tackles

If Suh has a career ending injury, then my team takes the first year Suh that doesn't gain all of the future experience. This is a time warp team, so I don't take Suh's current state of being injured if he gets injured, same as I don't take Jones at the old age he is now. With or without injury, I am stuck with the Suh that we had this year, as the question is being asked now and we can only judge or estimate Suh's value based on this year, and that player is vastly superior to Ed Too Tall Jones. It's just a flat out non-competition, Jones just doesn't have an NFL body to be considered one of the greats, this is a size game in addition to skills, Jones is a reject for an all-time team.

So you're picking someone like Bo Jackson on your all time team for RB then? That's kind of the argument you're throwing out there.

Re: Using Every player, Make the best current and all time t
QB: Joe Montana/Tom Brady
RB: Barry Sanders/Emmit Smith
FB: Jim Brown
WR: Jerry Rice, Art Monk/Randy Moss
TE: Tony Gonzalez
T: Anthony Munoz, Forrest Gregg
G: Bruce Matthews, Larry Allen
C: Jim Otto
DE: Reggie White, Deacon Jones
DT: Warren Sapp, Mean Joe Green
OLB: Lawrence Taylor, Jack Lambert
MLB: Ray Lewis, Dick Butkus
CB: Deion Sanders, Dick Lane/Rod Woodson (like him better at the CB position)
FS: Paul Krause
SS: Ronnie Lott
That is my list, I really wanted to put Dan Marino up there at the QB position but I just could go against Brady and Joe "Big Game" Montana. It was also a tough toss up between Tony Gonzalez, Shannon Sharpe and Mike Ditka for me at the TE spot all 3 are really good TE's I just like Tony G as a 4th recieving option
Edit just noticed how homerish the OP is, I mean Rogers as the best QB of all time or in the NFL right now, hell he isn't even your best QB in franchise history that is Farve's honor. Then you have Clay Mathews as the best OLB of all time which is a joke in a half and Nick Collins as the best FS of all time. Man Dawkins would **** all over him on any day so would Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, Krause, Lynch and countless other greats. I understand putting your team guys in there but c'mon man 1 is acceptable 3 is just going overboard when there is much better choices to make.

Meh. All those players are more explosive than Cris Carter, but it's literally impossible to have better hands. I also think Carter has had a clearly better career at this point than either Johnson.

Re: Using Every player, Make the best current and all time t
QB: Brady or Rodgers
RB: Peterson
FB: Mughelli
WR: Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson
TE: Gates or Finley since Gates is getting up there in age
OL: Don't care enough to determine all of my choices
CB: Nnamdi, Asante
S: Polamalu, Reed
DT: Abraham, Babin, Suh
OLB; Ware, Matthews, or Tamba
ILB: Willis, Lewis
Just of the top of my head. Might edit it later if I remember somebody else.
I think you should actually read the OP.
