This is my attempt at fixing the bobcats. Going full rebuild mode.
Trade 1
Stephen Jackson
Tyrus Thomas
Eddie Najera
for
Vince Carter
Robin Lopez
#13
Reasons: Bobcats need to clear salary and TT and Jack are 2 of our biggest contracts. TT is nice but he is not worth the salary he earns or at least will not be. Thomas in my opinion is a first big man of the bench but is getting paid starters money. You could swap TT for Diaw in this trade but I think we need to clear as much salary as possible. In return we get either a contract to buy out or a player that at least has some marketing value for a year until he expires. And realistically if we are not making the playoffs what is the big downside of going from Jack to Vince. Vince is more marketable has a shorter contract and maybe we would loose more games and get a better pick.
Robin is a solid energy backup big. He had a down year but so did the rest of the Suns. Lopez is a solid guy to have at backup C. He at least trys hard on defense and can finish on offense and block some shots. Good enough for backup C. #13 is a solid asset to have.
Draft night in my perfect world would then go like this 1. Irwing 2. Williams 3. Kenter 4. Valanciunas 5. Knight 6. Vesely 7. Kawhi Leonard 8. Tristan Thompson
9. Kemba Walker 10. Alec Burks 11. Twin#1 12. Fredette
13. Bismack Biyombo 14-16 T. Harris, Klay Thompson, C.Singelton, Twin#2, Jordan Hamilton(in no order)
19. Dontas Motiejunas ...
35. Shelvin MackI know most of the players are bound to go before our picks. But as I said it's my dream draft

Kemba is in my opinio a star in the NBA and a legitimate starting PG, which I don't see in DJ. Kemba gives us a star player and somebody who can come in and be a face of our franchise, something we don't have now. He is going to be a 20 ppg type of scorer in the NBA. Worst case Brandon Jennings.
Biyombo gives us a defensive big men every team needs. His movement and speed for his size are top notch and his personality gives me belief that he will be one of the top defenders in this league. He is a bit small for some centres but theres only like 6 really big and skilled enough to give him trouble. At #13 he is exceptional value.
Dontas is a skilled 7' who would compliment skills of Biyombo perfectly. he is a role player in my opinion but a solid one at that. Skilled seven footers are hard to come by. He in my eyes is a between Pau Gasol and Nenad Krstic.
Shelvin Mack is a solid talet for a 2nd round. Gives us some outside shooting this team needs. And a solid combo guard of the bench.
Trade #2
Dj Augustin
for
Nicolas Batum
Blazers want Kemba, but DJ is a nice consolation prize for them. DJ is sortof redundant with Kemba coming in so he goes. Batum gives us another piece of the puzzle and is behind Wallace on Blazers bench. He can be a good defender and a solid shooter. He could be a starter on a contender right now and will only get better.
Our team in 2011/2012
Kemba Walker/Livingston/Mack
Henderson/Vince/Carrol
Batum/Vince/Chuningham
Diaw/Dontas/DJW
Biyombo/Lopez/Diop
Then let Vince and Diaw expire. This team is bad enough to get another top 9 pick. Next years draft will be deeper at the top and we could get someone like Sullinger plus another guy with the Portland pick. Long term team of Walker Henderson Batum Sullinger and Biyombo, with Dontas, Lopez, Mack and some solid shooters from Portland pick or FA of the bench has everything outside shooting, penetrators, mid range game and post offense and enough defensive minded guys to play above average defense. A contender in my mind
