NBA Finals -- who's watching?

Post#1 » by mizzoupacers » Fri Jun 3, 2011 2:44 pm

Pretty good game last night. Maybe this will be a good series after all.

So who are you guys rooting for--the most obnoxious team ever, or Dallas?

Rick Carlisle was one of the most unfortunate casualties of the Brawl housecleaning. I love to see him do well.

Yesterday's game was amazing. Dallas did what they do on great vision and passing, and Miami did what they did getting to the rim. I admit Heat hatred fuels a lot of my cheering for Dallas but to me Dallas also represents a great way to play basketball. Everyone is unselfish and looking to make that extra pass, they are all committed to team defense, and they keep their composure even when they get 15 down in the 4th.

Pulling for Miami, Dirk is now the most overrated player in the league lmao.

and Carlisle won with Isaiah's players. Nothing unfortunate there my friend.

I never thought I would be rooting for Dirk but I would hate to see Miami win. The Heat represent much of what has gone bad in basketball.

Yeah, who needs a seven-foot-tall scoring machine capable of taking over the fourth quarter of an NBA Finals game.

Def watching. Interesting series so far. I thought Miami has dominated each game yet it's only 1-1. Also got to think the Mavs are due for a "breakout" offensive game.

Did anybody notice, in the 2nd half, all but 1 basket by either Wade/James came via a ally-oop, dunk, or layup? Crazy that they just couldnt spot up at any point and make a jumper.

Comparisons to Jordan after beating the Thunder/Lakers????? Yeah, I'm not so sure about that. :-?

Actually Dirk was compared to Larry. The legendary 'hick' said he was flattered.

I am watching, and of course, I'm learning.
#1. Spolstra is not a good coach. Period.
#2. Rick is a GREAT coach, but I learned that around 2004.
#3. Dirk is GREAT but he can't play defense. That means Dallas will lose to Miami in probably 6.
#4. Even though I'm a pacer fan 4 life, yiyi, I find myself going for Miami. C'mon, Dwade and BronBron? man, that's some good b.ball.
#5. OT: Walsh is out of NY... i hope he comes back to the pacers in ANY position...
#6. I learned that Dirk is not overrated b/c his offense is great, specially in the 4th and that he's consistant. Bosh is overrated, IMO.
#7 OT: I pray that D.Howard/Broy/CP3/Ellis are thinking of joining the pacers every day/night.

Good Day.

One more win to go!

If the Mavs get it done, which city is happier--Dallas, or Cleveland?

Dallas. It may be physically impossible for Cleveland to feel joy. The closest they got was landing 1 and 4 in the draft.

Celtics were in the same spot last year.

I don't really understand what's going through LeBron's head right now. He had an efficient game last night, but at some point, he has to take the ball to the rim late in the game and be aggressive.

I'm watching. Can't remember the last time I've been this entertained by a finals series. The fact that Miami is losing is making it that much better for me.

Dirk over rated? Not sure where to start on this one. Right now he's the best offensive player in the game in my opinion.

Congrats to the Mavs. I'm especially happy for Rick Carlisle.

Cross Dallas off the list of teams that have never won an NBA championship. Come on Pacers, you got next! :)

Very happy for Carlisle. One of the top coaches in the NBA. But, also for Shawn Marion, Jason Kidd, Jason Terry, Mark Cuban and of course, Dirk. Miami will be back, unfortunately, i don't like them or what they stand for, but they will be back, probably even next season. Great finals though, Dallas can celebrate all night but the true winner in all of this is basketball fans and the sport itself, because this playoffs and series was the best marketing advertisement the league could ever have.
