I was going to change it to Big Game because everyone calls me that...but never mind. I respect your opinion.

Re: Around the NBA 2.0
How long do the Miami Heat have as an ELITE contender in the league?
Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Lebron James are probably untouchable in that organization, and they have Joel Anthony, Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller all signed through the 2013-2014 season. Wade is 30 in January, Bosh just turned 27, and Lebron is 27 in December. Joel Anthony turns 29 sometime this year, Udonis Haslem is 31 in a week, Mike Miller turned 30 this year already. With Wade, James, Bosh, Anthony, Haslem and Miller making up around 60.5 m in next seasons salary, 65 million in 2012-2013, and 71 million in 2013-2014, do the Miami Heat have a chance to even reaching half of their goal of 8 championships, if they were to lose this year's finals?

They'll contend for the title as long as Lebron is there and until he's around 32-35 years old, so, it's conceiveable they could be contenders for the next 9 years or so. It wouldn't shock me at all though if Lebron bolts to Chicago, New York, Los Angeles or even back to Cleveland when his contract expires with the Heat though, especially if it looks like their window has closed and Wade is always banged up with injuries.

Yes, they could still reach 4 titles, sure ... Wade is the key ... I honestly felt they should have entertained trading him this year or should definitely entertain the thought next year ... Lebron and Bosh are each 3 years younger and Wade has a history and a game that lends itself to constant nagging injuries ... something like Wade and filler for Nene, Felton and JR Smith or Wade and Filler for Conley, Mayo and Gasol would be sick and set the Heat up with the greatest starting 5 in the history of the game ... they would have no weaknesses whatsoever, whereas right now they are weak at 2 of the 5 positions.

Miami's window is smaller than people think. Wade is not getting any younger and teams like the Bulls will continue to get better.

Re: Around the NBA 2.0
WHY are the Cleveland Cavaliers bent on drafting Kyrie Irving #1? That franchise, outside of drafting Lebron #1 has had a horrible draft history and it looks like they are going to blow it again. Imagine if they would have drafted Al Jefferson, Josh Smith or Kevin Martin instead of Luke Jackson in the 04' draft, or Paul Millsap instead of Shannon Brown in 06' ... wow.
Anyways, they could easily draft Derrick Williams and either Kemba Walker or Brandon Knight if they select Williams with the #1 pick ... that would give them their star PG and their star Lebron-replacement and give them a solid, young starting 5 of Kemba/Eyenga/Williams/Hickson/Varejo.
However if they draft Irving with the #1 pick they're looking at some unknown Euro prospect at the #4 and probably a Euro-C prospect ... I just don't get the Cavs. They blame Lebron for leaving but it was horrible drafting and trading that ran him out of town and now when they have the chance to land 2 great young players and have a stacked young starting 5 they seemed primed to blow it ... craziness.

Re: Around the NBA 2.0
^ Wtf?
Kyrie is obviously worth the #1 overall pick. Irving isn't compared to Luke Jackson, or Shannon Brown. He's compared to Chris Paul. idk about you but I'd pick the player that's more likely to end up Paul with the #1, than to pick a tweener player in Williams who's skillset is compared to that of a Beasley/West hybrid. Derrick doesn't even have a defined role in the NBA, Irving is already a floor general and has an amazing amount of maturity for the position at his young age of 19.
And obviously you haven't heard much about Enes Kanter if you just view him as an "Euro prospect". If he had played this past season, you could argue that he would be the #1 overall pick. His talent and potential are just that high. I'd take a combo of Irving + Kanter over Williams + Knight. And it has more to do with how I feel about Williams. He's already enormously big headed and I feel his cockiness will affect his ability to reach what little potential he truly has.
And yeah Miami's window is smaller than people realize. Can't see Miami contending for the next 10 yrs., let alone even seeing LeBron in a Heat uni in 10 yrs. One could make an argument that Wade has already begun to decline and the injuries are finally catching up with him and effecting his performance. Miami will contend in the playoffs for the next 5 yrs (the duration of LeBron's contract), and legitimately have a chance (or win) a title 2-3 of those years.
You have to think a young team like OKC or the Bulls will put it together and dethrone the Miami. Or a veteran team like the Lakers would get another star and overthrow Miami.

Glad somebody cracked down on those Dirk sigs........got tired of seeing that garbage. This "deserve" crap is a piss poor way of thinking. You don't deserve anything that you don't work for or earn. Cuban has owned the Mavs for over 10 years, this year was the only year he spent wisely. When he can in he thought throwing money around would attract all the best guys, all he did was over pay scrubs most of the time.
But glad them damn sigs are OVA !
