Already had a lot of concerns about D-Williams -- this only enhanced those 10-fold.

Me too. He doesn't seem like much of a team player there, especially towards the end when he's only hustling for himself (going up for offensive rebounds, running the court on offence but not defence).

He's definitely not a sure thing.

Take see videos with a grain of salt, Locke does watch a lot of basketball, but as he'll freely admit, usually these videos are the only full games of these guys that he's seen all year. Judging these guys off of one or two college games in their career is anything but fool proof.

But they are certainly better than nothing.

Edit: NVM, didn't read.

Of these clips, Burks shows best. I saw him play KU and thought he was pretty aggressive but a major ball dominant guy, didn't pay too much attention otherwise. He seems to think that's a result of poor surrounding talent. I'm not sure...on film he came off like one of those guys who goes for the flashy 'look at me' passes but otherwise look for their own shot, but this guy probably saw a lot more of him than I did, so maybe that's that.

I'll say this: in a draft class which mostly leaves me yawning, Burks is at least worth a raised eyebrow.

He needs to do Jimmer and Irving.

I think this guy focuses on the negatives too much. He makes Jonas, Dontas, and Van look almost undraftable.

Locke is one of the best local basketball analysts I've ever seen, but he is a different bird too. I love his videos, though.

Yup, I don't want Jonas after the scouting report (#14 for the Rockets)

haha, he should do one for Irving even if Utah doesn't get a chance to draft him.

Kudos to him for noticing that Williams can't elevate from one foot.

yeah right

he judged enes as 10 rbs. per game guy based on one tape he got where he banged with his age group of players, whille he judged valancuinas as no-nba material after watching only his one game where he banged against much older players in 2nd best league in world....great stuf

He's very very good for a local guy, he's worked in some big markets, and knows a lot of people. His work ethic for his craft is phenomenal, he really goes beyond what most sports casters do which is check dx, and nbadraft and claim he's been watching these guys all year. If he wasn't so stat oriented, I think he could find himself as a syndicated guy at some point.

But yes, like I said earlier, a lot of what he is saying is based on one game.

As for Irving, he isn't going to do one because there is almost no chance that Irving is there by the time the jazz pick.

He might be right. Enes hasn't done anything in workouts to scare teams away and he certainly has an NBA body - I don't see a reason why he wouldn't be a good rebounder at the next level. As for Jonas, lot's of people have been scared off by what they've seen - on first glance he just doesn't seem very athletic. I personally think he could be a good player, but you never know.
