I eagerly await what I hope is your thorough line-by-line debunking. BTW, all those were just up to 2009. She has lied a sh*t ton more since then.
Either way though, Sarah Palin isn't honest. There is no way anyone of any political affiliation can claim that with a straight face. There is waaaaaaaaaaay to much information out there in the form of books, articles, tv pieces, and documentaries that explicitly articulate the quantity and content of her lies.

I don't think anyone claimed that.
ewingmanx claimed that Obama lies and Palin doesn't. That's not true.
I don't think anyone here would disagree that they both lie, like every single other politician in the history of politics and the world

I know no one claimed it. But by your own admission here, you would agree that some folks act like it, no?

Believe what you want to believe.
But in the end I don't know what the arguing is about. Everyone wants the same thing in the end. A better America.

I would agree with that.
Blind loyalty from either side is annoying.
Would you agree that it is one thing to acknowledge the members of your party's shortcomings and dismiss them as unimportant in relation to what the person does or believes and another thing entirely to act like those shortcomings don't exist at all?
I have no problem saying that I don't care if Obama lied about certain things or that Anthony Weiner may have twittered his crotch to a young girl, because I believe that all in all, they are better for this country than any leader the Republicans have put in front of me.
There seems to be a fear of criticizing ones own party because people think it may weaken them in the debate, when the fact remains, both parties have dirty hands. It's just a matter of whose ends you think justify the means.

I don't agree. Because in either case, you are essentially dismissing those shortcomings. And you should care if Obama lies. He's the President. He's OUR employee. I know that's stunning, but the President, regardless of who it is, serves at the behest of the people. We're not his serfs. So he should be held to a higher standard. And if I was still a liberal (fortunately, I recovered from that ailment

If you follow politics, and aren't willing to accept that all politicians, including the ones you support will lie from time to time, then you aren't really following politics closely enough.
You seem to be implying that if a Republican were President, then there wouldn't be any lying, or at the very least, you would take that President to task for such lies to the point that you would question his competency and even seek his removal, even though he is furthering an agenda you agree with.
Is that what you believe the case would be?

I believe that if I was an Obama supporter, I'd be pretty unhappy with the fact that he's essentially running Bush term 3. Because I'd have voted for him expecting an end to our Middle Eastern adventures, the closing of Guantanamo, a small drop in the unemployment rate as promised, an end to the lobbyist culture, the list goes on... and most of these promises have not been kept.
I'm not sure how you think I'm implying that I wouldn't expect lying from a Republican. It's also amusing that you assume I would vote for a Republican. Of course you tolerate a certain amount of lying from politicians, its the nature of the beast. You have to expect a certain degree of disappointment and dishonesty. But no, regardless of party affiliation, if you've voted for someone who's backtracked on most of the things you voted for them for, you might want to consider a.) supporting someone else and b.) not being a hypocrite and defending the indefensible.

Even if I was unhappy with Obama to the degree that you believe I should be, what is the alternative for someone with my beliefs?

Bourbon.
Seriously, you make a good point. There are plenty of alternatives, including getting involved locally, writing your dem reps, or the DNC. Petitioning, etc. There are ways to apply pressure and demand he act more like the President he said he would be. Or threaten to vote third party. Or don't vote period. It's a participatory system that offers a lot of choices.

i actually agree...overall, i think hes been a disappointment (some his fault, others not), but when you look at the alternatives, it makes him look better

Agreed, but the thing is this. I am fine taking Obama to task and holding him accountable for the things he has done and have not done. At the same time though, he is the presidential candidate for the party that most closely aligns with my beliefs. I can petition, I can demand more, and I can get involved in the process myself. I can push the man to be man I think he promised to be and the one we deserve.
What I cannot do is weaken support for him however by not voting or voting third party, because that opens the door for the other side to get a candidate in. To me, especially with the field the right is currently working with, that is worse than anything Obama has done or can do going forward.
So going back to the original point at hand, I may not be thrilled with everything Obama has done so far, but the devil I know is a lot better than the devil I don't know (or the devil I also know and dislike much more

Oh right, foxnews doesn't count as media. They make up so much stuff, they are more a fictional story telling network.
Didn't you? No, I haven't seen you mention any lies yet. Just claims of ones.

U obviously don't know what reconciliation is, u know the "nuclear option", I only mention it to U twice, when u demanded a lie...it was perhaps the most dishonest and blatant abuse of power politically in the modern history of the country, considering the magnitude of Obama care, which is the biggest piece of legislation in generations...I'll educate u on it later.
Ah the Fox news boogie man, even if fox news is as bad as u say it is...Fox News is just one cable network, which pales in comparison to all the left wing media outlets across the county...Why is it whenever I'm having a discussion with someone like u, they always bring up fox news? Did I say anything about fox news? Am I not entitled to talk about my views?
I can easily do what GONYK did...Which is look up a few websites, and click and paste...I told u I would refute what I perceive as false statements he posted...He gave me a lot of information to disseminate...he has no problem waiting for my rebuttal...I told u when I bring u Obama's deceptions, I will try to provide information that is clear and indisputable evidence, to the best of my ability...Doom had no problem with that.
The problem with discussing politics with someone like u, is that ur uniformed, but very passionate in wanting to win, so because ur not armed with the proper knowledge, all u do is rely on ur biases and widely used talking points, then u point ur finger at someone who has an opinion u don't want to hear, because it doesn't speak to what little u think u know, and call him biased..just like u did with me.

Saying "reconciliation" isn't proof of Obama lying. Get specific and stop being vague, if you can be.
