He's right. Someone that athletically gifted can only force themselves into terrible shots.

"...scratch that. I meant to say anyone can defend me on-one-one. Also, just wanted to throw in there that I will never be anywhere near as good as Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant or even Derrick Rose, no matter what. Oh yeah, and Wade is the alpha dog, and I'm kind of like Pippen Lite, similar but not quite as good."
I think that would do it for most people.
Lol I think people really want him to say something like that
Hard in the paint like Josh Smith, do not slip, I bang mine I'm zone one bankhead shawty, I'm west side no gang signs

He's pretty much right.
Fortunately for the rest of the league, NBA is a 5 on 5 sport, and not a 1 on 1 one.
A really good team defense can slow Lebron down, it's been shown a fair number of times.

Re: LeBron: No One Can Defend Me One-On-One
I think Dwight howard would beat him in a 1 on 1 game. Dwight wouldn't be able to guard him but lebron can't guard dwight either, dwight could post him up until he dunks. So offensively/defensively there would be a tradeoff, but dwight would get all the rebounds and win.
I think Dirk might be able to beat him too.
that being said i have no problem with lebron saying no-one can defend him 1 on1. What else would anyone say?

Re: LeBron: No One Can Defend Me One-On-One
So what?
There are at least 20 guys in this league that no one can guard one on one. I don't think anyone can guard Jamal Crawford as well, but that doesn't make him the best player in the league.

He's absolutelly correct. However he's the easiet out of him, wade ad kobe to defend. Reason being is that you either give him space and allow him to take a step back jumper or expect him to charge to the rim. On the other hand, with kobe you have to respct his midrange and his terrific array of offensive moves. Kobe bryant is fundementally sound, something lebron is far from.

One on One. The same is true for al top NBA players, at least the wing players. Bron, Wade, Kobe, CP3, and even trash like Vince Carter are simply too fast/athletic/talented to be literally guarded one on one.

QFT.
Dude is arrogant like a mofo. Never liked him in Cleveland, don't really like him now. With that said, I'm still glad he chose to come to Miami and make us contenders for the next 5+ years.
You may be my favorite Miami Heat fan...

Nice try, LeBron, but nobody's falling for your BS. You can't even drive past 7 footers anymore. A jump shooter is all you are and when that isn't falling, 4th qtr of Game 2 is what we get from you.
I sincerely hope LeBron isn't as deluded about his game as this quote makes him sound. The guy is still living in the past.
Pics 1 and 3 don't even have Lebron being guarded 1-on-1. Delayed help is still help, something Bosh could have used in Game 2 against Dirk on the game-winning shot.
In Pic 2, he got a wide open jump shot. Sure, that's better than a layup as far as the defense is concerned, but using Pic 2 as part of your argument, Kobe supposedly can be guarded 1-on-1. Would you agree with that?
Interestingly enough, speaking of Kobe, I could easily replace "Lebron" in your post with "Kobe", and it would seem much more fitting, but at the same time, I feel like you're trying to say Lebron's past his prime or something....are you?
Overall, I hate Lebron as much as the next person, but this post is beneath you, assuming you want to be taken seriously.

Is there some invisible 2nd defender I'm missing here? How is LeBron not being guarded 1-on-1 here? If those players at the rim qualify as "help", then there is no such thing as being guarded 1-on-1 then. Either way, what matters here is that a freaking big man stayed with LeBron's slashing attempt all the way to the rim. LeBron couldn't get past a 7 footer from the top of the key despite CLEARLY trying his best.
In Pic 2, he got a wide open jump shot.
No, he SETTLED for a jump shot. Who the hell dribbles that many times, eyes his man, only to take a step back jumper? LeBron clearly came to the conclusion he couldn't get past the guy.

Kobe's 32 years old. He's SUPPOSED to be declining. LeBron's 26 and an obvious weight gain has SIGNIFICANTLY slowed him on the court, yet for some reason he still enjoys the reputation of being a freak. That's what's annoying.
I hope nobody missed how after a couple of drives in the 1st qtr today, LeBron had ZILCH left in the tank the rest of the game. It's almost like he exerted too much energy. He hung around the perimeter the rest of the night, almost as if he didn't have legs anymore. The guy is a shell and you won't find me a single game this season that proves otherwise. He has no quickness and apart from the last 2 games where he's displayed a good vertical, he has no explosiveness while jumping in the paint either. There's a reason why he's shot little beyond jumpers all regular season and especially in these playoffs. Watch some LeBron game-highlights(NOT dunkfests) from his Cleveland days and then compare it to the current Heat version....the difference is night and day. He can't sustain an assault to the rim for more than a few minutes. Tonight's game was the perfect example. Dude was done after the 1st qtr.

I like how the help defense meeting Lebron before the block on either side of the key qualifies as being at the rim.

CP3 did that a lot against Bynum and Gasol on pick and roll switches in the Lakers/Hornets series, and CP3 was praised left and right for it. Sounds to me part of your argument is that the jumpshot is not Lebron's strength, thus he is "settling". Even if you want to throw out the fact that Deng was eyeing Lebron from the start and was stepped forward to Lebron as soon as he tried to drive, Lebron did get Asik to step back, giving Lebron more than enough room to shoot a makeable jumper. It's not THAT uncommon for wing players to shoot jumpers over bigs, you know...

Even despite your last paragraph, I can't help but think you're trying to make us believe this from your three pics....

This is just something that didn't need to be said. If he wants to help repair his rep, then arrogant, self-promoting comments like this are counter-productive.

Of course they can. He has no pull up jumper(which is why he's not a reliable scorer in the clutch unless he's hot) or post game. Just play him for the drive.

The 2007 finals prove that one Bruce Lee Bowen can handle LeBron better than just about anyone.

1.) He is one of the better jump shooting SF's in the league
2.) He has been maybe the BEST clutch scorer for the past 3 years
